This little cutie pie had her first session last weekend with her new family🥰“Penny” is around a year old & possibly a Chihuahua/Pug/Dachshund mix. Either way, she is cute as a button & incredibly blessed with the angels that adopted her. Unfortunately, her previous owner passed away of cancer… then this sweetheart found herself at the SPCA. They are an older couple, but definitely experienced with dogs. They were having difficulty adopting because of their age alone. They went to an adoption event and I’m thrilled the SPCA knew they would be a good fit. Their new family member here is bringing them a lot of joy. She is definitely on the shy side & very timid with meeting new people. She has however warmed up to her new owners very quickly. She is a perfect little lapdog & companion for them. All she wants is love, affection & to be kept safe. They’re starting to get a sense of her personality now that she’s getting more comfortable in their home. They definitely wanted to do away with the p*e pads, so we’re reinforcing elimination outside (which she is doing awesome at🤩)… they have fun toys & got a nice, safe crate for her too! We were able to cover a lot of important details to set her up for success. One of their biggest obstacles is that she would have “freezing fits“. She would freeze up on the leash and not move whatsoever. We kept things fun/upbeat & had her moving along just fine. Because of her hesitancy, we had to pace ourselves so we didn’t pressure her. I’m very happy that she took treats from me, because in severe cases many dogs will refused to eat if they are nervous for a new person. I think her confidence is going to continue to grow just fine. You all did a fantastic job & were incredibly patient…💜🎉A+🎉💜 I know you will all continue to complete each other & make many happy memories. Keep up that beautiful work🤩👍👍👍

I love receiving such wonderful progress videos🥰 My amazing client sent me this last night and I had to share. “Nox” is an older Shepherd/Husky mix & he’s been around their older cat Salem, but he has never been exposed to a kitten. “Remi” is around 5 months old (or so) now & is growing very quickly as kittens do! My client has done an amazing job supervising the both of them & reinforcing all of this beautiful/calm behavior. Remi is a confident kitten that goes around Nox quite a bit, but neither one of them seem stressed at all. He is curious about her, but I am beyond proud of the outstanding control he is showing. They are peacefully existing together without any major obstacles. My client took her time and has done everything the right way thus far. I wish everyone were this responsible & loved their babies as much as she does. Her two kitty cats & Nox are beyond blessed to have her for their mommy. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU GABBY… you are not just a wonderful mommy to your fur babies, but you’re an excellent trainer for them as well. KEEP IT UP OVER THERE & I will see you again soon!!!

Back with one of my top 🌟Star Students🌟 “Dutton” last night. He’s around 4 months old & growing very quickly. He’s going to be a BIG adult dog. He’s a typical playful, mouthy, jumpy puppy. We once again covered a lot of excellent exercises to set him up for success. Here he is learning how to “stay in his place” (especially near the front door where he gets very excited when people come in). That’s why you see me here moving around the home.. touching everything/my keys… all the natural sounds that normally entice dogs to get up and see what’s going on. He did a phenomenal job once again & showed outstanding control… you all are making me so very proud…YAY!!!🤩👍👍👍 Keep up that awesome work!!!

This may seem like a basic video to the viewers, but this is a GIGANTIC step in the right direction for this particular family. At our first session, their older son took part in all of our exercises. Their youngest son however, did not want anything to do with training or their new puppy. I fully understand his hesitancy since we all know puppies are mouthy/jumpy/get overstimulated…etc. Ryker this time around wanted to be involved the entire time. That will be so important for Cheyenne’s early development and building up her control/listening skills with the entire family. My client’s parents were also there this entire session & learned a lot themselves. That will be incredibly helpful when they watch her at their house. We were able to cover a lot of wonderful exercises once again. She is one of my top 🌟star puppy students🌟. When we tried to practice upstairs, she was very mellow and just wanted to relax by the fireplace in her big comfy bed (can’t blame her one bit😆)!!! There were 6 of us (humans) downstairs, so she was a little distracted to start. I was guiding her while Ryker was reinforcing a nice “Recall”. I am so proud of you dude… YOU DID A PHENOMENAL JOB WITH CHEYENNE…YAY!!!🤩👍👍👍
BIG thumbs up…you get a well-earned
💙🌟A+🌟💙
It is the best feeling in the world setting these beautiful puppies up for success & to see a child’s confidence grow while building a healthy/safe bond in the process!!! It’s one of the best parts of my job and doing private sessions… you made training very rewarding & fun Ryker & that’s how training is SUPPOSED to be!!!😁

I had the pleasure of happily ending the “2024” training year with my precious new student “Harper”🥰 She is a spunky, friendly, fluffy little cutie pie!!! I love Pomeranians… especially their soft, gorgeous coats & how their fur gets crimpy around the ears❤️ She has a big, beautiful home with two loving parents. One of their biggest obstacles is how vocal she is. They put her in the comfortable crate so we could get through our detailed consultation 1st. She was talkative, but settled down pretty quickly. When we got to practicing our actual exercises, she did a phenomenal job…YAY!!!🤩👍 She listened to everything perfectly like a little queen. Even though she was hyped up & excited to learn… she did not chew on the leash very much, nor was she barking incessantly (especially around the doors/windows where she is mostly vocal around outside stimulations). We are lying down a nice, new foundation for her & building up that beautiful control. I know they are going to be able to teach her whatever they desire. Pomeranians are incredibly intelligent & quick learners when everything is reinforced correctly. I was able to get a lot of smiles out of this one!!! She has the sweetest temperament & enjoyed training. You are such an adorable puppy Harper… you ended the year on a very positive note… welcome to the Peaceful Pets training family. You did a wonderful job & I will see you again soon fluffy girl😘
🎉Everyone gets a BIG A+🎉

I am so happy that the snow/freezing rain stopped & the roads cleared up so I could work with this handsome new student of mine “River” on Christmas Eve🎄 As soon as I saw him, I thought of my “Genesis” right away. He is friendly, energetic & super sharp just like she is!!!🥰 I LOVE his soft, floppy ears❤️ He is a 7 month old Lab/Collie mix & has an intense play/chase drive. A combination of two of the most intelligent breeds on the planet. They have an older cat “Louie” in the home & they are obviously concerned for his peace/safety. “River” just wants to chase after him & Louie will hide for the most part. They have already done a phenomenal job setting this boy up for success, but now we are reinforcing much more obedience/control. He listened to every exercise like a champ🤩👍👍👍 We were able to brief through so many important exercises with his amazing eagerness to learn. He is incredibly blessed with a gigantic, fenced yard to run… play & get all that excessive energy out to set him up for success. He can also be a little timid with meeting new people, but he warmed up to me immediately & let me handle him just fine. He could tell that I liked him very much right off the bat. He has the best owners that are going to give him a very full/active life😁 He hit the jackpot for sure!!! I know we will be able to teach this adorable boy anything we put our minds/energy to. He is a sharp cookie…
💙everyone gets a BIG A+💙 Keep up all of that wonderful reinforcement and I will see you guys again soon. Have a safe, fun New Year’s Eve!!!🎉GOOD BOY RIVER🎉

This is the 2nd time that one of my pictures was chosen for the IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals) collage. The first time they picked the beautiful picture of me with my amazing student “Chance”. This time they picked my “Kane & Genesis” on the steps in the snow for their winter/Christmas collage. Many trainers submitted a lot of great photos as you can see… so proud that we were selected again!!!🤩 I have been able to get some wonderful photos of my personal students in front of their Christmas trees… I would love to see the best photos you all were able to take this year. Feel free to share them & keep the holiday spirit going before we start this New Year!!!

All smiles from this handsome teddy bear & special “head tilts” for the perfect pictures!!!🥰 This is my new 10 month old student “Rambo”❤️ Many of you know that Bernese Mountain Dogs are one of my most favorite breeds on this planet. They are big goofballs… friendly, affectionate, energetic, strong, playful, loyal, intelligent, gorgeous…& he certainly has all of these wonderful characteristics. He is blessed with the most responsible, awesome family & they want to do everything imaginable to set him up for success early on in life. This is the husband’s first dog… I am so proud that he brought up a lot of good points during our consultation and was eager to learn as much as possible. Their 7 year old daughter took part in the entire consult & our physical exercises. She was excited to practice with her big puppy & she filled up a whole page of detailed notes. She wrote down a lot of wonderful cues that I was explaining. They also have a 3 year-old son that was eager to help us too!!! They are certainly raising smart cookies… their daughter followed instructions perfectly & this big fluff ball was listening to her like a champ…YAY!!!🤩👍👍👍 I always say that a lot of kids do better at training than some adults do. It is critical to get our children involved as much as we can so our dogs perceive them as nice healthy leaders instead of equals. The building up our dogs control/listening skills with the kids is crucial. They also have two beautiful kitty cats in the house. They came out for some attention & were actually a good distraction for us when we were training. Rambo left them alone (leave it) for the most part and followed our lead perfectly!!! They also got a new beautiful collar & lead for him to practice… at first, he wanted to excessively chew on that leash, but we had his brain/body moving in the right direction. After a while, he was ignoring the leash just fine which is major progress in a such short period of time. We all know young, excited dogs like to put everything in their mouth & it can be challenging to train when they’re overstimulated🤪 They are ahead of the game in many important ways already. Rambo was very excited/jumpy when I first got there…they gave him a potty break and put him in the crate so we could get through our consultation without any distractions from him. I was thrilled that he peacefully slept the whole time, whereas most dogs are barking incessantly and going crazy. He listened to every single thing we presented to him like a king. They are going to be able to teach this precious boy whatever they put their time and hearts too🥰 🎉FABULOUS WORK… EVERYONE GETS A BIG A+++🎉 Keep it up and I will see you all in the New Year!!!💚GOOD BOY RAMBO💚

Look at this cutie pie that I worked with on Sunday🥰 “Dutton” is one of my new puppy students & just shy of 3 months old. He is going to be a BIG boy fully grown… I just wanted to hug him the entire time & squish that belly & those paws😆 I miss when my boy was this size…they grow way too fast! They have a huge beautiful home & a ton of land. He is certainly going to have a fun time out there since they are near the woods too! They have a lot of wonderful things for him already. He has a nice pen set up… a nice crate… a TON of toys…etc. We started out with all of our puppy basics & other important exercises we’re going to reinforce to continue to set him up for success as he gets bigger/stronger. He listened to everything perfectly & I’m so proud of their 10-year-old daughter. She took part in our entire consultation & did an outstanding job practicing…YAY🤩👍 He will have all of that wonderful reinforcement now that he needs from the entire family. The parents will also be moving in with their older Frenchie so I’m glad we are setting Dutton up for success early on during these critical developmental periods. You all did a fantastic job & I will see you in the New Year!!!🎉

I started working with another awesome, responsible family yesterday & their 1 year old Labradoodle boy “Mardi”❤️ They have another (even larger) Labradoodle “Levi”❤️ “Mardi” is the younger of the two and needs the most training. We were able to brief through so many great exercises & he responded to everything perfectly. I always say…Poodles are like the smartest kid in the class😆 We will get Levi involved in our upcoming sessions because boy do they get excited when people come in the door!!!🤪 Two big, friendly, handsome, intelligent goofballs😆 I love these boys already. They just got all new windows in their beautiful home. Mardi is jumping up in excitement at all of the stimulations outside. We don’t need him pouncing on the windows, nor do they want him destroying the top of the couch. Most trainers would recommend he stay off of the furniture completely. Many trainers also use “crutch approaches” and would tell them to put up window film/blinds or curtains and block off the stimulation. The only problem is, do you want to have to do that for the rest of your dog’s life?!!!… Also, if you never properly expose them to the stimulation and build up control the right way… then, every time they see any stimulation out the window they will go extra crazy. Since they are both incredibly affectionate/friendly dogs…I don’t want to take away the privilege of being on the furniture with their mommy and daddy… nor, do I want to take away the privilege of observing what is going on outside. We taught Mardi that he can be on the couch, but he has to offer a strong “Sit & Down”. He can look out the window, as long as he’s not jumping excessively on the top of the couch/or being forceful around the window. Eventually, we’re going to have stimulations outside to test him and build up more control. We are also going to teach him how to observe everything calmly & quietly. I don’t mind if dogs alert us to what is going on, but the barking cannot be incessant. Everybody gets a GIGANTIC A+…YAY!!!🎉 I cannot wait to see them again in the new year. You will be able to teach these boys whatever your hearts desire. Keep up that phenomenal work… thank you so much again Jacquelyn for the delicious Christmas cookies🍪🤤🍪

This is one of my newest puppy students…ADORABLE “Cheyenne”🥰 They are such a fun, cool family to be working with. Incredibly responsible people that called me up and set up their sessions before they even brought this cutie pie home. They have had dogs before, but they wanted to be sure that they set their new girl up for success early on. They have 2 boys in the house… so, Cheyenne is going to have a very active, exciting life. They will be taking her everywhere & she will even get to go camping with them. They were eager to learn as much as possible, and that makes my heart VERY HAPPY!!!🥰 She was very excited when I first got there (jumping & humping🤪), but I am impressed that she slept on her big beautiful dog bed during our entire consultation. Their older son took part in the physical exercises & did an exceptional job following instructions & his timing with the “Clicker” was awesome!!! We covered a lot of the puppy necessities… she is a sharp little cookie and they are going to be able to teach her whatever they put their minds/energy to. They are way ahead of the game & I couldn’t be more proud. I am thrilled to be a part of your new journey. You all get a GIGANTIC A+ for our first session. I will see you all again in the New Year… I hope you all have a beautiful Christmas!!!

This particular video may seem very simple to the viewers, but this is MAJOR IMPROVEMENT in the right direction for this beautiful family…YAY!!!🤩 I have mainly been working with “Kade”… he is their newest pack member & such a good boy. They have taught him so many amazing things already. Their 4 year-old dog “Harper” is a sweetheart herself, but she has some hesitancy around new people & anxiety outside on walks. She will freeze up and shake. We don’t want to coddle that fearful behavior… we wanted to get her brain and feet moving in a more positive direction. We kept it really fun/upbeat & took her out first around the neighborhood. We put her on a safe, beautiful collar instead of a harness. That in itself made a tremendous difference. We gave her encouragement and kept her body moving. She was doing so well that we decided to bring Kade out to join in on the fun. However, we do not want him turning into her “security blanket” where she will only go for a walk if he is present. She did a fabulous job by herself & when he was out there. They are the sweetest family & most responsible, loving owners any dog could ever ask for🥰 These two cutie pies get along perfectly & they will definitely have full, happy lives. I have enjoyed seeing them all snuggled up on the couch together after each successful session. YOU ARE MAKING ME SO VERY PROUD MEGAN AND PATRICK👍👍👍 Keep up the outstanding work… I will always be here whenever you may need me!!!

Look at these two beautiful Boxer girls that I started working with last night “Minnie” (4 years old) & “Roxy” (7 years)🥰 They are both friendly as can be & were very happy to meet me… their whole bodies wiggle in excitement😆 I have always loved how most Boxers have that goofy, funny temperament. They have never had any formal training before, but older dogs can absolutely learn new behavior with enough patience/reinforcement. I am so proud that their owners want to set them up for success before they bring their new male Lab home in the spring time. “Gunner” will be trained as a hunting dog at a facility & I will be helping them with private sessions to make sure all three dogs are acclimated properly & safely. They wanted to build up the girls listening skills before their boy joins the family. We covered a lot of wonderful information and exercises yesterday. They both did a phenomenal job & they are such a cool family to be working with🤩👍👍👍 I had to get a picture of these pretty girls in front of their beautiful Christmas tree. All of these doggie students of mine are impressing me & not bothering the trees whatsoever… maybe they can help me train my cats to leave the tree alone🤪 I am proud to be a part of your new journey… they did incredibly well for their very first session ever!!! See… older dogs can in fact learn new tricks & these two are living proof. Keep up the outstanding work & I will see you all again soon!!!

💙AFTER VIDEO💙

Back yesterday with my handsome student “Dasher”🥰 I posted a “before video” so you all could see that he had no interest in the car whatsoever. This is a common issue for many owners. Every time his mommy had to take him somewhere, she would need someone to come over and help lift him up in there. This is not realistic since he is very young… he is very strong… he has no health/handicap issues & is more than capable of getting in the vehicle by himself. He is almost 90 pounds & we don’t need his mommy hurting herself trying to get him in there. We kept this very positive/rewarding as training should be!!!🤩 He caught on much faster than most of my other students with this obstacle. We had him happily going in & out with no problems. His mommy was ecstatic!!!😁 Now she can reinforce this a few minutes every day & get over his hesitancy once and for all…YAY!!! I am so proud of the both of you… it was nice seeing you and all of your fur babies🐶😻🐶Thank you so much again Lorraine for the beautiful Christmas card. I hope you have a wonderful holiday & I will see you in the new year!!!

Such a wonderful feeling to see this amazing family I’ve been working with again. I have not seen them since the end of May. “Luna & Teddy” had a lot of health issues that they had to overcome before we could continue our training. They also had a successful spay & neuter surgery… luckily that is out of the way now! The family was so responsible and vigilant… They even had to keep the puppies separated for awhile until they resolved their Giardia and kennel cough. They are right on the beautiful lake in Medford. These puppies hit the jackpot… God certainly blessed them with the perfect family🥰 They never gave up and took care of their babies. I commend them for all of the hard work they put into these cutie pies. Now that they moved their large crates & playpens out of this back living room … we had much more space to practice. We covered a lot of important things again last night now that they are both feeling much better. They have an older dog Dudley as well… he’s almost completely deaf, so they certainly have their hands full!!! He’s a sweetheart himself & luckily they all get along just fine. They have been so very kind and welcoming to me💜 Even though we’ve had some setbacks, we are back on track with training🤩👍👍👍 Everyone did a perfect job yesterday… I hope you all have a beautiful Christmas & I will see you again in the new year!!!
