Hunter was back at the amazing Cotts Equine Hospital today for his 5th treatment. Due to the tumor being in his sinus this is palliative treatment. The previous treatments have managed to reduced the tumor in his airway and he now has full air intake through the left nostril ❤️❤️

Hunters first show after recovering from his splint. A real mix of emotions! His improvement on the flat has helped his jump so much and he was absolutely amazing in his first class (70). But the lights went out and we had no energy in the second class so after hitting the first 3 fences I retired him. The tumour appears to be really affecting his stamina 🥲 I’m not sure how I feel as his improvement is very clear and he is a super talented horse BUT with no cure for him and fitness being a major issue I’m not sure what’s next ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Walking the course for Rambo I thought this is way too much for him and the oxers way too wide! However apart from being terrified of EVERYTHING somehow jumped 2 classes for 4f and also picked up a 3rd place in his championship 😍

A lot to ask of Hunter today but he was a super star. He was rather sharp and spooky which meant we had a couple of poles across his classes but collected 3rd place in his championship final and prize money 🎉

His stamina has been improving a lot since his first treatment however today he was definitely tired coming out of his second class. As he had such a heavy bleed after his second treatment the decision was made to length the gap between treatments. This however means that the tumour has more time to grow 😢 He’s not due back at the vets for a few more weeks and I’m hopeful that it was just the heat 🤞🤞🤞
