our phone number is 304-927-2555 . We are dedicated to helping every animal that comes through our shelter door. We take stray dogs and cats from Roane County free of charge. If you are bringing in an animal whether it be a stray or an owned pet from out of Roane county there is a $80.00a head charge. This fee offsets the cost of the animals care while at the shelter. This includes shots and wormi

ng and any medical care it may need/ Adoptions- prices are as follows.. Dogs, 80.00 and Cats 70.00. This includes a certificate to have them spay or neutered at Ripley Paws vet in Ripley , WV/ If the dog or cat you adopt is already neutered or Spayed the adoptions will be Dog-$50.00 and cats $40.00Please Spay and neuter your companion pets and keep their Rabies shot and county tax tag up to date. This is a state Law. Adopt before you shop and save a life today!

This little guy has found a home. 🐾❤️🐾

PLEASE do not dump animals off when no one is at the shelter. This kitten was found early Sunday morning crying, scared to death, huddled in the corner of one of our outbuilding.
We have several feral cats that call our shelter their home. Thank goodness no ferals hurt him.
It’s not fair or safe to the animal and it’s not fair to the shelter employees that have to chase and catch the animal.

ROANE COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER will be closed July 22 through July 27, 2024.
We will reopen on July 29, from 10-1 pm.
The animals will be taken care of but there will be no open hours and there will be no intakes by the public.
