It is important to identify and understand heat stress, heat exhaustion, and heatstroke. Heatstroke is the final stage, these dogs are SEVERELY affected. Seizures, clotting problems, blood lost through vomit and diarrhoea. These dogs are in shock! Submerging icy water is potentially their only chance.

Those who are panting hard, walking like they are drunk, having vomiting and/or diarrhoea without blood, NOT having seizures will respond to cold water on hairless areas and a fan. We don’t need to be as aggressive with our cooling.

All dogs affected by the heat should have a vet check…

A French Bulldog has collapsed and no doubt died today on the Sabrina boat. After being dragged around the Quarry in this blazing heat, he was then forced to endure an hour boat ride where he sadly collapsed and was fitting and foaming at the mouth.
The staff were crying and trying to save him, but he was unresponsive by the time the boat ride ended.

What an absolutely horrific way to die. Body starved of oxygen, gasping for breath, and organ failure. He must have been so desperate 😭💔 The owner even snapped at the poor young waitress when she offered him water and said he'd 'had plenty'.

I don't know how many more times!! STOP WALKING YOUR DOGS IN THIS F*CKIN HEAT!!!!

Hi everyone ☺️

I haven't got round to Wishing myself A happy 1st year of Spotless Spa For Dogs Professional Grooming Salon 🐕

I opened my own salon a year ago the 1st July!!

What a year it has been. ✨️

I would like to thank all of my visitors to the salon over the past 12 months✂️🛁🥰
Some have returned, some have not.
What I have learnt is that I'm not going to be everyone's cup of tea, I may not groom how your old groomer did, you may not like my prices, I may have groomed to short or not enough. Whatever the reason it's OK. 👌
I know I take the care and comfort of my pups seriously and that is most important to me. The smelling divine & looking smart is all part of the service🙏💖😊

As a groomer I want to work together with owners to provide the best care and build a good relationship with your dogs so when they visit my salon they are as relaxed and comfortable as possible. This will only happen over time and following a good grooming routine👍🐾

Thank you again to everyone who has supported my journey so far, I really appreciate it.💯

The handsome Scruffy back for a tidy...he hates the shower..he isn't a fan of the drier and really dislikes his face being touched.🫣 But what a handsome transformation 😍 he is getting better every time he visits...a little patience and a lot of reassurance at his own pace❤️ Such a loveable boy🐕🐾

The gorgeous little Teddy came for his first visit to the Spa🥰 Little trim & tidy.✂️🛁🫧 So well behaved 😊❤️

Then Mr Iggy Pop ,as I like to call him🤗back for his regular groom.🫧🛁✂️
This beautiful boy has been coming to me since he was a baby... and he is now a pro at the grooming routine(almost...🤣... we still have lots of kisses and cuddles and wiggly bums throughout the session) but he is such a good boy and listens and is too irresistible not to cuddle and kiss😘😍🐾🐕

And this is why I love my job🙏♥️
