🌞 GOOD MORNING 🌞
🌞 TYPICAL MORNING AT CASA DE SPLINTER 🌞
I love first thing in the morning potty breaks. Lucille Bald makes her presence known and demands to go out with the dogs. It’s her piglet right!
Yes, we have a free-range hairless guinea pig that roams around the house. She came to us as a piglet found roaming a busy street in Fresno, California and there was no way this pig was going into a cage. Can’t wait to share more on how she’s made a place here in our pack.

MISSING THE MASTER
Splinter has been gone for almost two years and I haven’t gone a day without thinking of him.
He left such a mark on our lives and will never be forgotten. I spend time remembering all the things he loved - today I remember how much he loved to lay in my lap with a surprise snack were always top of his list.

I’m really enjoying my time with our beautiful monarch butterfly. She flutters her wings when I check on her and loves to drink upside down until she climbs on my finger signaling that she’s ready for the Watercap Bistro to serve.
Our time will be short, yet I’ve learned so many of her ways. I will be forever changed by our encounter special one. 🙏🏻

❤️ COMPASSION IS UNLIMITED ❤️
I’m enjoying my morning coffee with my new friend an injured monarch butterfly. Did you know that you can add one part honey to six parts water to a bottle cap on a napkin and a monarch butterfly will drink. Sometimes you need to guide their tongue to the water, but they get the hang of it pretty quick.
I sexed this butterfly as a female due to the thick lines and lack of circular marks on the underside of the wings. Since she was born in late summer, she most likely will not reach sexual maturity and live a long life of 6 to 8 months - where typical monarchs only live 4 to 6 weeks.
Isn’t nature amazing!
