PUBLIC WARNING!!!
We have been seeing unprecedented cases of tick poisoning in the last few years. These grey paralysis ticks are no longer coastal only and are now being found locally. We have seen 8 tick poisonings this week alone. It is not only costly in a monetary sense but has cost 2 dogs their lives. There are many common signs in both dogs and cats....lack of coordination, paralysis,itchiness/redness at the bite site, breathing difficulties, lack of appetite etc.
If any you see any symptons what so ever, check for a tick. If one is present please get to your vet and they will safety remove it and treat your animal accordingly. In the event you dont find a tick but have symptoms, please still go get your furball checked by a vet. Prevention is the key. There are many very effective tick preventatives available at your local vet. Please do not wait!

The heat is coming and we must be mindful walking your furry friend in the heat of the day. Your dogs feet will burn on concrete or tar just as yours would. Some of the more "flat faced" breeds such as Boxers, pugs and French Bulldogs, will overheat very quickly. Hyperthermia will place your furry friend in a potentially fatal state.
Fresh water supply and shelter is important to avoid excessive sun exposure(they can get melanoma)and dehydration.

Covid 19 update.

With confirmed cases within our local area and NSW health advising yesterday that fragments of the virus have been detected in the sewage plant that services Mulgoa, Silverdale, Wallacia and Warragamba, I have made the difficult decision to suspend grooming for at least the next two weeks.

Those who have an existing appointment will be contacted soon.

There will be no client contact or access to the trailer at all.

Please ensure your dog is secured for me collect and a power lead left out and turned on or access to an outdoor power point.

Should you choose to pay cash, please provide correct funds where possible. Other options of payment are also available.

If prior to your appointment you or a household member have been feeling unwell in the last 14 days, been told to isolate by NSW Health, let me know and I will reschedule your appointment.

And remember to wear a mask at all times.
