Unsprung training was established in March 2017 where I grew my confidence training mine and my friend’s dogs, this is when I decided I wanted to start my own business. In February 2017, I distributed posters around my local area and created a page called ‘Dog Training Unsprung’.To my surprise I filled my class in under a week, from there my classes have expanded, and I now have an average of 10 classes a week including agility, puppy life skills and basic obedience.
Agility is my true passion and something I consistently want to excel in. I commuted down south to get trained by the by the best trainers in Britain, I now class these people as friends and thank them for helping me grow as a handler. I have used a few methods over the years but there is always one that sticks! POSITIVE REWARD BASED TRAINING. The dog always gets something out of my training and 99% of the time the dog is never wrong. I predominantly educate owners as dogs are the easy part. Majority of owners are stuck in the past with old fashioned training techniques therefore, my job is to reinforce positive training as this is the best way forward.
I currently offer a range of different training from group classes, 1-2-1s to social skills. I love training dogs and no 2 dogs are the same which is why I thrive in getting the best relationship between the dog and owner as that is the most rewarding part. By teaching the owner how the dog functions allow both parties to leave my classes feel both positive and happy.
