Shiloh. rescue advocate, best friend, Lyme caretaker My name is Shiloh. I am an adopted daughter, rescued dog, Lyme caretaker, best friend, cuddle buddy, canine soul-mate, gentle spirit and devoted companion

My name is Shiloh and the second chapter of my life began November 22nd 2014 when I was taken from a rescue group in Yakima to my new life in Seattle. I was nervous but I didn't know that I was going home with my human soul-mate and best friend. My new mom had just lost her little canine friend and she suffers from Lyme disease, so she needed me as much as I needed her. I have fallen in love with

her deeper than I knew was possible and I make sure she stays safe, cuddled and loved. I sleep in the same bed, go on car rides, walks and bike rides, and I even get to go to the doctor with her. She loves me too and I hear her thanking God for me all the time as she embraces and kisses me. Sometimes the bad things in life including being abandoned are very scary and devastating, but we never know the blessings that await us just around the corner.

"When your off leash dog goes bounding up to another animal (or person), for goodness sake please stop wasting your breath yelling "he's friendly!" Instead, you should be calling your dog back and asking the other person if they would like to meet. If the reason you're yelling that he's friendly is because your dog isn't listening to a word you say, then your dog shouldn't be off leash in the first place. A friendly dog calmly acknowledges the presence of other dogs and stays with its owner until permission is given to greet. A dog that wildly runs up to another dog and gets in it's space is not friendly, it's rude! Please keep your dogs safe and teach them not to run up to strangers. Not all people like dogs and not all dogs like dogs. One day, your dog will choose the wrong dog (or person) who will then defend themselves. Your dog will get hurt, the other party will become even further traumatized, and nobody wins. As the owner of a reactive dog, I was accosted twice today by off leash dogs out on trail. My terrified and angry dog remembered his training and walked away with me while the stranger's "friendly" dog circled around behind him and followed us. As I yelled at the dog to go away the man continued to say "it's ok, it's ok." But no, it's not!! I am protecting the safety of your dog as much as I am my own. When a person clearly makes an effort to avoid your dog, respect it. Practice good recall, and even if you choose not to use it ALWAYS carry a leash."

This is the new page and is directly linked to Shiloh’s Instagram account. The account is currently growing since going live and this is a great medium to further challenge photography, rescue advocacy and post fun and cute canine stuff as we phase out Lyme and ESA..
Thanks for liking, here is to something new!

Hello, my name is Shiloh. I’m a rescued Pomeranian mix, and a registered ESA with a heartwarming bio. I may be 12 pounds but there’s nothing small about me

UPDATE: For every additional $350 RED will rescue another last chance at life dog! We have reached our goal for these babies!

RED is trying to add these two sweet "last chance for life" babies to our transport from a high kill shelter to Washington. It will cost an additional $350 to save each of these puppies, so to get them safe from euthanasia we need to raise $700. Please consider helping us save these sweet babies! The clock is ticking and time is running out for these beautiful young dogs.

Rescue Every Dog

RED ALERT: URGENT LIVES NEED YOUR HELP; SHARE IF YOU CARE. THEIR LIVES DEPEND ON PEOPLE CARING: Imagine being given a death sentence for doing nothing wrong at all. Sentenced to die just because you exist. That is a wrong that should never happen. Yet, it happens every 11 seconds in America. There are many horrible things you cannot change in life, but this is one you can. They need your help! The following dogs need your support to live. The shelter they are in is full over capacity and is euthanizing dogs. RED is ready to "Tagged to Save", some special dogs that deserve a chance to live. We need your help getting them vetted and safely to RED foster care. We also need foster homes for all of them. The more fosters and donations the more dogs we can save. it runs about 350.00 to vet and transport and dog to safety. I am showing the faces of the ones we have tagged and need help with. However, if more funds and fosters are found, we can save another life. The last effort we did at this shelter saved 14 last day of life dogs. Together we can give them a life. Let them see another day and live the life they always deserved.

UPDATE: DUE TO THE OUTPOURING OF LOVE FROM SUPPORTERS, ONE MORE LIFE HAS BEEN TAGGED. Let's get the costs covered for all of these pups!

UPDATE 2:WE STILL HAVE TIME TO TAG MORE LIVES IF THEY ARE COVERED. MANY MORE DEATH ROW DOGS ARE WAITING FOR THEIR TICKET TO SAFETY, WILL YOU GIVE ONE THEIR CHANCE AT LIFE?

Every $350.00 will Saves a Life!

Donation total as of 9-21-18 10:18 PM = $2090.00
(How many dogs saved? We are at 5.9 (close to 6!) Lives Saved)

UPDATE: BASE FUNDING GOAL MET! LIFE SAVING SURGERY HAPPENS AT 4:00 TODAY 8-28-18.

UPDATE SURGERY DONE! Sweet Gerda had her bladder stone removal and spay surgery. She is doing well She will remain in hospital for several days and remain on antibiotics for 4 weeks. Surgeon says it is the largest solid bladder stone he has seen in a dog. The road to pain free if around the corner for this brave little shepherd girl.

UPDATE 8-30-17: Gerda is doing well. She has a flight with the fabulous charity.
Pilots and Paws on Saturday. She will be landing in Port Townsend. https://www.facebook.com/pilotsnpawsfanpage/

NOW STAGE 3 OF THE RESCUE EFFORT: TRANSPORT NEEDED, HER RECOVERY, GETTING DIET SET, FOLLOW UP LABS DONE, A FOSTER HOME OR ADOPTER AND A RIDE.

SEE BELOW. BELOW URGENT HELP NEEDED! RED SAVING GERDA. SHARE IF YOU CARE. HER TIME IS RUNNING OUT AND WE NEED YOUR HELP. This sweet face belongs to Gerda. Gerda is trapped in a place she will not escape alive, unless rescue steps in. She is in a shelter that does not offer medical care for animals in need of it. Gerda has some urinary or uterine issues that needs to be diagnosed. We have a team of volunteers and a Vet Clinic willing to give her a diagnosis and start her on the path to well if donations can be raised. They have offered a rescue discount so we have the best price in that area we can obtain. We believe she needs all or part of the following normal diagnostics: Vet Check, Blood work, Urinalysis, Over Night care, X-rays and then treatment for the issues we find. Those diagnostic items could change pending the vet recommendations. We can not know until funds to take this sweet girl to the vet are donated in her behalf. If funds are not found Gerda loses her life. It is a harsh but sad reality for this little shepherd mix.

STATUS OF NEEDED $ 8-28-18 9:50 AM WE ARE AT
$1,790.00 RAISED FOR HER MEDICAL COSTS AND CARE COSTS.

URGENT HELP!!! 8-27-18 4:00 PM UPDATE: RED volunteer drove this dog to the vet and and she was rushed in and checked. She has a very large Bladder stone. The surgery cost to save her at a discounted rescue price is $1000.00 and some after care and diagnostics. We will authorize surgery when we get $1000.00 fund raised. TOTAL COSTS WILL BE ABOUT 1500.00

RESCUE EVERY DOG (RED) is a long standing 501 C3 and donations are tax deductible. One can donate right here on Face Book or our website is www.rescueeverydog.org . You may pledge an amount also for her care and mail to RED PO Box 1741 Kingston WA 98346. PM us if you need help or want to make a pledge in private.

The Heart of Rescue

*****UPDATE*****- COHS is holding him until a couple possible foster homes can be vetted. And people DO YOUR RESEARCH like we do before making inappropriate and/or erroneous comments.

URGENT! Sampson needs an adopter by Wednesday- or at least an interested party. He is at Central Oregon Humane Society in Bend and is due to be euthanized Thursday if a home is not found. He is 6-years-old and is a very friendly boy. Sampson loves to play Frisbee, pulls slightly on leash, and knows basic commands. He arrived as a stray and
was never reclaimed. He is a large boy and can be dominant and forward with other dogs. He is neutered. Please contact us or COHS (541-382-3537) ASAP if you can help.

When Faith Has Four Paws

Today is a very special day. Three years ago I went to Yakima and came home with Shiloh who would turn out to be the little love of my life. So in honor of her birthday and adoption anniversary I wanted to repost a blog I wrote about what God has taught me through her.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/jeanvieve7.wordpress.com/2016/06/14/when-faith-has-four-paws/amp/

I wrote this about a week or so ago when I was having a bad day Shiloh is not just a dog, she is a living breathing ever-present reminder of what God can do, a four-legged faith builder, an answere…
