Boris was our littlest rat. There was only him and his sister in their litter and both were tiny babies. At 2 days pre 6weeks old Boris was only 68g! His sister was a bit bigger.

His breeder let us have him because I had the time to devote to helping him thrive. We were picking up other babies for ourselves and our friend who was getting a few girls. So both siblings found loving homes that day. The little girl was named Crumble.. she had the most adorable lightly toasted snoot and was known for her "happy hiccups".

Boris grew rapidly under our care but was never as big as his "brothers" who were protective of the little guy right from the start.. He grew up to be their Alpha!

He was a hilariously quirky character.. most definitely a Heart rat and I believe he was our most popular celebraty.

Very much missed but oh what a guy and oh what fabulous memories.

Do you remember these shenanigans from when Peaches and Bea joined the family in September? Bea was so curious about us and her surroundings and Peaches wasn't so sure!

It was so cute and funny watching Peaches trying to tell Bea what to do and it also made me very happy that they did feel safe in their "safe house"! It's a small cage we set up with hides, food and water for them to retreat to while on our bed. It works so well with nervous rats.. giving them somewhere just for them. We don't mess with them if they go in there. They can watch us and learn about their new home close to us.. let's them find the confidence to explore in their own time. It never takes long before their curiosity wins! ❤️🥰

dobby_and_smeagol Recently found 2 tumors on Teddy. Thinking there's a big chance there are more internally. Does anyone with experience dealing with multiple tumors on their rat want to share their story? Feeling very conflicted about what i should do... Don't want to put her through surgery if she might pass from internal tumors in a short while anyway. Also scared she might not make it through surgery when she's still very 'healthy'/acting like herself and happy at the moment. Also very selfishly can't stand to lose her right now when I'm not doing well mentally anyway. She's my baby, my second heart rat, my best friend. Please share your stories, I feel like i can't make up my mind without some insight. Lots of love ❤️🥰
