It’s not a weekend unless the boys get the golf carts stuck. I used to get really upset every time we had to get them unstuck. Now that I’ve lost count as to how many times its happened. It’s freaking hilarious, I now expect a call late afternoon and I know exactly what happened.

The cheese of goats is the bomb. We’ve been making all sorts of awesomeness here on the farm lately.
We B Jammin. A local farmer dropped off blueberries. We canned jam and pie filling for later use. We will have a class in the future for locals to learn the basics.
Today’s advent day was make and decorate gingerbread houses. Always a blast followed by an upset stomach for papa.
Community helping community. As we’re settling into our new area we love when others reach out to help support folks who may need a bit of extra love during the holidays. Our bhag this year was to create a complete holiday dinner basket with our families recipes. We wanted to include absolutely everything a family would need so they could enjoy a stress free day of giving thanks. The last basket went out the door and now we can relax. Thank you to everyone who offered to help make things super awesome for some of our local families.
Free firewood for anyone with a chainsaw or axe and a willingness to cut their own wood. We’ve had a few folks come with their kids on the weekends and turn it into a family afternoon of cutting and loading. We have plenty more available if interested.
Who else bakes cookies in their campervan? The owners of this build are going to be stoked when they see this in their van. 🍪
Big pumpkins this year. Zone 7 growing has been amazing it’s much longer than our Colorado grow season. Now that we have our feet wet, we can game-plan for next year. When we moved here our plan was to work for 2 years and then start implementing our big picture plan. Year 1 is done with 1 more to go. We’ve outlined the 3 year and will slowly start working towards our goals. Once we get mid way into 2021 we’ll start sharing some details.
Hi folks, our project is now live. (Link in bio) Our grow bus project has evolved into creating another bus for a low income school or organization. As we’ve been distance learning with our two youngest roommates we realized life skills taught in our days of school are now absent. For the past 8 months we’ve all had a moment to reflect on the changing times and many are having a back to basics change in lifestyle. Our education initiative is to provide a valuable resource and hopefully a resurgence in skills that can cultivate the minds of our kiddos. The bus is modeled after STEM education with the addition of art creating STEAM which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics. We created all of these elements in addition to a curriculum that accompanies the bus and can be modified to meet the needs of the recipient(s). This first bus will be the concept model in an education setting to gain feedback and make changes for future Steam Rollers. Our goal is to see young minds using the busses and learning essential skills they can carry with them for a lifetime. We have two chicken coops currently. We’re hoping to make one large one to facilitate about 50 birds possibly. Who knows the number changes weekly, our plan is to raise point of lay hens and make a few chicken coops on the side and sell them for some extra dough. Who wants a coop and egg laying hens?

We’ve been in Washington for exactly 1 year this month. It’s been fantastic setting up the farm and finally taking time to complete some personal projects. Our camper has been neglected far too long, we got tired of camping with an ice chest and unfinished plywood so we decided to give Uma a little love. We have a passion for old relics and she’s a good one 1978 Mercedes 911. Heres a collection of finished pictures, let us know what you think.
Yep, I’m thinking the same thing. Bus dance party with animal head costume masks and a lot of glitter. We’re totally not kidding by the way, the dance party will happen before we’re forced to put on our grown up panties and take things a bit more seriously. This will be the first step of testing and proving our many ideas/concept. Once we’re happy with the results we’ll finish out the build and ramp up production. Words cannot describe how rad it feels to be this far along. The hardest part has been getting various 12v supplies as suppliers are out of stock on many items. The easy way would be to design the entire operation to plug in like an RV but where’s the fun in that. We’re rockin the Casbah 100% solar powered. Now what should we grow in the first set of test beds?
When we moved here from Colorado this time last year we also brought our chickens with us. This year we added to the flock to ensure we have plenty of eggs as our ladies were getting older and laying less and boys are getting bigger and eating more. This winter we’ll begin constructing a couple chicken coops that will be for sale. Our coops will include a 12v solar setup used to power an automatic door, lighting and exhaust fan. As a farmer you can work harder or utilize technology and work smarter. Time is our biggest asset so we try to simplify operations so we can do all the things.
The G Spot is made up of a man (Dai) and woman (Heidi) who operate the circus. Other main attractions include their two muppets (Post) and (Xire) and a pooch named (Irie). The operators, who are married to one another, had a dream of one day having a bit of land so they could do a single, long line of continuous cartwheels all day everyday. After they purchased said land and tired of doing cartwheels, they decided it was time to Pinterest the F*%k out of it. Somewhere along the line they read every book that involved homsteading and had the words (for dummies) in it. After establishing some street cred by posting images on Instagram they felt it was time to share their terrible ideas and experience with others who want to be self sufficient(ish).
Currently we have honey bees, chickens, worms, fruits, and vegetables. Once operations are full speed other offerings will include micro greens, maple syrup, vanilla, lavender, fresh cut flowers, cheese, and wine. As operations grow we will start making our goods available to our local community. Our self sufficient(ish) classes will begin in fall of 2021 where you’ll be able to learn gardening, aquaponics, honey farming, syrup making, cheese making and whatever else we get excited about.
