A rescue friend of mine had this posted and its hits home with me. I was just crying thinking about how many people I never even met, family and friends that don’t make tons of money do whatever they can for my rescue. They also show emotional support and sinceretity when they know I need a shoulder. The “family and friends” that are well off and have the ability to contribute to the rescue turn a blind eye and act like they don’t know I exist even though I grew up loving them and we were all so close. I bust my ass every single day and they have no idea what I’ve accomplished because all they see is a little beggar asking for support for animals. I have a legitimate 501c3 non profit animal rescue and ALL RESCUES NEED DONATIONS!!!!! My heart is broken. I used to try to keep in touch with my whole family and believed nonsense about others that were cast out. You’ve shown your true colors and I doubt that you care, but I am hurt over being ignored. You never even asked me what I do, who I’ve helped, what I’ve learned, and why I do what I do.
“I lost a little more faith in humanity last night. My mom always told me that we all put our pants on the same way, one leg at a time, and to keep that in mind when people think they're better. As they said, more money doesn't make you a better person. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, is better than anyone else, and my heart is sad for those who think they are. No matter how big your house is, how new your car is, or how much money sits in your bank account, we all bleed red and will eventually fade from this earth. Death has no discrimination, and neither should your life. Be kind to others. We are all here to serve. Stop the power tripping. Your oversized ego or title won't get you anywhere. Be humble and kind. Very few will read this far, but if you're genuine, I challenge you to copy. Most won't because they're the type of people
I'm talking about.”
