We, at Wagon Tailz Animal Rescue, wish to thank EVERYONE for the amazing support we have received over the past year as we celebrated 2024 as the year we surpassed 100 lives saved. Since this is Giving Tuesday, we would like to invite our Rescue Nation to join us and donate to our continued mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome, those furfriends, like Steve here, who have really not seen the best of humanity. Though we joyfully celebrate 100 lives saved, we understand that that are many, many, many more that sadly need our intervention to get them on the path of their Happily Ever After.

Congratulations to our wonderful little Sammy. I wanted everyone to not get distracted but to focus on the look on this loving rescue. This poor little puppy started his life by being discarded like trash in someone’s yard at only 6 weeks of age. He came to Wagon Tailz requiring not just medical care but emotional support and love also. Sammy truly felt thrown away and unloved. But there is a happily ever after. He found his wonderful new family who have completely changed his self worth and how he values himself. That is why I am announcing this life changing adoption with just a picture of Sammy’s face. This is what a rescue face looks like when his whole world has just changed for the better and he can finally see what true love and potential he was originally meant to have. Thank you Sammy for showing us a face of pure joy and happiness from a little heart that had a bad start.

Another Wagon Tailz. The wonderful Miss Jenna. Honestly, the longer you rescue, rehabilitate and rehome neglected, mistreated or just thrown away animals, the more you believe that God’s hand is everywhere. When hearts come together, that were made for each other, there is just a complete sigh of relief, happiness and joy. We focus on saving one tail at a time, but God sure in charge of the meeting. Jenna was no different. Full of love, energy and loyalty, Jenna really needed a special family that could really integrate her into an active and caring circle. Then the perfect family for Jenna came for her. A big family with big hearts and a lot of active kids. Jenna was perfect as soon as they met. It was as if they were all just waiting for each other and now they were together. If it wasn’t for the beautiful endings that we get to share with our rescues and their new families, the awful beginnings would be emotionally overwhelming. We thank everyone who helps, supports, adopts or just protects these special souls. Jenna and all like her, are eternally grateful. These happily ever afters are because of you. ❤️

Congratulations and fur-ever love to you River. Thinking about you, I realized that every rescue that crosses our path, leaves us with an imprint. Each and every one of them, teaches us something amazing about animals, and unfortunately something disappointing about humanity. River was no different. She was the epitome of a live in the moment soul. Her mantra was easily “carpe diem”. She was so loving and funny and present, that she really helped us focus on the moment, the stick, the evil leaf that must be caught or the grass that was taunting her for a pounce. The past is done, the future is not here, and River loved the present. She will always be remembered as our grounding beagle. If you had worry, anxiety or stress around you, just one look from her and a sweet beagle bay bark, and she would bring you back to the here and now. Though very in the present moment, I cannot but hope for her having the best future a little miss beagle can have. Thank you for your wise counsel River. ❤️

Every saved heart, has a transformation story. Travis is no different. He came to our rescue very emotionally protected. He went about his daily activities but really never showed us his real self. He was quiet, introverted, and very solemn. But as all of us on this mission to show love and kindness to those animals who have had the least know, there is a single event that triggers them to healing. For Travis, that was a night walking outside in a freshly cut field, and the sudden introduction to fireflies. He opened up, curled and wagged his tail, and started to play and try and catch fireflies. He soon realized they are more exciting to watch then taste, but that moment, Travis showed us, they heal on their time, when they are ready. Having been blessed to actually get to meet the real Travis, we can only say, no dog deserved his perfect match and new life more. We are so happy for Travis, and his new family. He won her over, at the woof. ❤️

Dumpling feels like a big 16 week old girl now that she has had her first rabies and 3rd DHPP vaccine. As goes without saying, our love and support from the Oxford Feed & Lumber and Jennersville Pets & Friends is unmeasurable.

Happy Gotcha Day to our sweet little Ivy. This little girl is made of sugar and spice and everything nice. A dainty little lady, Ivy has the presence of nobility and culture. Her beautiful face just melts your heart. This little southern bell arrived from West Virginia and though she had a very unpleasant beginning to her adventure, she always kept her smile and chin up. She knew ahead of time she was meant for better and nothing would dissuade her. Her new family could immediately see what a rare jewel she was and spent the day swapping stories and planning adventures in front of Jennersville Pets & Friends and Two Stones Pub, as her new family members gathered and welcomed her to her new better start in life. We will definitely miss the elegance and grace that Ivy showed us, setting quite an example for us all. Best of everything to Ivy and her wonderful new parents. ❤️

Flounder who is just as goofy and aloof as his namesake on “The Little Mermaid”, is a testament that being silly is a lot more fun than being serious. His new family includes two little ladies that are sure to resonate with his “anything can be a toy” attitude. He can be a leader or a follower, as the choice depends on which one will cause more trouble. His beagle heart completely shows through as he gives cuddles and kisses. Flounder’s distinct run, which somehow bordered between the elegance of a block of wood and the grace of four feet that wouldn’t talk to each other. If you were not laughing at Flounder, you were probably laughing with him. A sweet magnet that will finally get all the attention he desires. Thank you to his wonderful new loving family for adopting a goofball. ❤️

On this very special Gotcha Day, we get to celebrate Reggie, now Hamish, and his newly adopted parents. He was a large whiskery rescue with the soul of a puppy. He would go out of his way to make others happy and truly never met a dog he didn’t want to play bow with and chase, Though his start was sad, and as an owner surrender he was heartbroken, he never let that dampen his spirits. Hamish found the best in everything and everyone. He was surely a natural born hugger and relished any love and attention he could get. This always “glass half full” rescue, finally got his happily ever after and showed us all, that good things do happen to good souls. 💕
