As I have five sisters, am a mother to four daughters and grandmother to twin girls, I love this shout out to all women. Happy international womens day!

Safe to say that my trainers aren't going to see me through until the end of winter although I did my best to keep them going. But they have now been binned having run well over 1000 miles 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️

Last day today! Though its likely I won't have anything until next weekend, but nice to know I can have one if I feel like it without feeling guilty! To be fair, I have had loads more energy this month and felt well so I'm going to try and be more moderate than over the Christmas period (and before!). But with lockdown and not much to do it's not been the easiest thing to do! The miserable weather hasn't helped. But I've got outside lots all the same. I've started a strength 💪 training programme as well as continuing with Yoga 🧘♀️ and running 🏃♂️ so hope to show some decent before and after photos after 8 weeks!

Loving the new pony beanie! Keeps the ears nice and warm out running 🏃♂️ but can keep a high ponytail 🐎

Snow has always been one of my favourite things since a kid. I love the silence it brings when you can get out for some head space. Beautiful run today, even if I couldn't get up much of a pace!

I need to remember this from time to time. It helps to put things in perspective. Some days I can get so much done and feel like I could conquer the world, others are a real struggle. I find the use of checklists super helpful to remind me what to do and motivate me to get things done. As well as feeling like a little pat on the back when I mange to tick everything off! Dont be too hard on yourself though. Some days are for total rest and self care. Dont feel guilty about those days. You need them to come back bouncing rather than burning out 🔥

It was wet, freezing cold, misty and gloomy. I had to drag myself out for a run to keep up with my health plan. Half way round a 4 mile route through the woods trudging through the mud, with thoughts of work going round in my head and not feeling very inspired I suddenly opened my eyes and noticed the scenery. Beyond the muddy track and gloom was a magical winter land with ice frosted branches and a mystical mist blanketing the forest. It was breath taking. And it reminded me that we need to stop and look, be in the present moment and that there is beauty in everything. Today marks the end of my first week of dry January and attempting to shed a few of the pounds that have crept up since lockdown and over Christmas. I have had some success this week, but most importantly realised that being a healthy, strong, well balanced human being that appreciates what I have around me is more important than what the scale reads! Namaste 🙏 And thank you .livewell for a fabulous yoga 🧘♀️ session again ♥

108 sun 🌞 salutations completed for the winter solstice. I thought it would be easy but was pretty warm and had jelly legs at the end! Took around 48 minutes doing each movement on the breath. Time for meditation and sleep 💤 🛌

Kids and horses 🐎. Nothing makes me happier than my girls enjoying being around Loki. He is such a gentle boy with them and they help look after him nearly every day. Dont worry, they always wear a hat on the move. This was him just chilling out and a quick photo opportunity.

Went for a run 🏃♂️ from our Wirral home 🏡 this morning and it was beautiful and magical. Don't normally stop to take photos but couldn't resist today. Strong headwind on the way back and the tide comes in quickly on the Mersey! Lovely Liverpool landscape across the river. Dont know when I'll be back next

🍂 Beautiful autumn colours. Loving my daily run at the moment, even in the rain. Makes you feel alive 🍃 🍂 🍁🌳 🍁

Feeling super positive 🙏🌻 I had intended to start teaching yoga earlier in the year, but for obvious reasons it never happened and I don't have the environment or set up for virtual classes unfortunately. But today I did a ten minute yoga warm down at boxing which was a real boost to my confidence and a tiny step towards teaching full classes again! My aim is to be teaching full classes early next year - get my masters out the way first so I can fully concentrate on it!

Today I went to my 2nd boxing session with and absolutely loved it! Nearly didn't go because my lazy son decided he wasn't gonna wake up and come with me. So glad I did. Awesome workout and I'm learning new skills (slowly). Great tips and everyone mega friendly and helpful. Will remember to keep elbows tucked in next time...

🌿 Gymnema Sylvestre 🌿 We shall.see if this little herb does anything to help reduce sugar cravings! I know from the sugar detox I did a while ago how good you can feel cutting it out but breaking the habit for life is hard. Sugar is scarily addictive and temptation is everywhere. If this can in any way help then I'm in!

I have heard lots of things about this herb 🌿 gymnema sylvestre 🌿 so going to give it a try and see if it helps curb sugar cravings. There are claims it can help control blood sugar too even if you do consume sugar.

🤸♀️Here is proof that it is never too late to try something new. This is my little sister at the age of 36 learning how to do an aerial🤸♀️ Pretty darned impressive! The challenge is on for me to learn the same at 44..... not sure I've got the same nerve and there's no adult gymnastic sessions near me :( but working on a few other things!

Happy to get back under 24 min for a 5km. Now to work towards the sub 23...

So I actually filmed a whole class today. I was super proud as I remembered all the sequences and felt like I demonstrated different levels of each pose well then when I finished I found it had stopped recording half way through! Gutted! So here's a little sequence just for fun and a bit of inspiration. Not perfect but still working on it. Will start doing a focus pose or sequence more regularly.
