First of all a massive welcome and thank u for joining my page! I really hope it is helpful to u and that u get what u where hoping from the group. I thought I'd write a little bio about me and why I've started this group, to give u an insight into my background and experience with dogs.
So from as young as I can remember, I loved dogs! Every birthday, even the last one, I asked my mum for a dog for birthdays and Xmas, hence to say her response was always the same, No! I havent received any birthday presents from her for the past 36 years 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I never grew up with dogs, apart from a few family members having dogs, but I was always the one who would ask to stroke people's dogs when out, and want to go into the pet shops to buy dog toys for the dogs I longed to have one day.
I started volunteering at a No kill dog shelter back in 2012, and instantly found my passion wasn't just a passion or a dream, it was something I took to like a duck on water. At the rescue we had dogs that where strays, from other countries and who where deemed dangerous and where going to be put to sleep. I never once looked at a dog and though there is no hope for u, there is always hope with the right care and understanding, the possibilities are endless.
So 6 years I volunteered and worked there, until my work life didn't allow me to commit the time anymore 😔
I began working at a Doggy Daycare in 2018 which I absolutely loved! I felt like all my dreams had come true, but unfortunately it was short lived, and I quickly realised I was just another "casual for when the shoe fitted" person. This was when I decided to go at it alone and start a dog walking buisness and there came Doggy Love Daycare 😊 It went from strength to strength through word of mouth and advertising, meeting people out and about and the power of Facebook!
2 years later and I am going as strong as ever and feel so so privileged to be able to do a job that I love.
Behaviour has always been an interest of mine, wondering what makes a dog behave the way they do, why some breeds are more susceptible to certain behaviours, why some dogs develop fears and how the mind works, along with hundreds of other questions I had! So I started studying Canine behaviour at the Natural animal Centre (Distance learning) and so many things made sense, and I suddenly realised I was already doing it! I had already begun to understand the behaviours and dealing with them appropriately, its like an instinct. Now I cannot stress enough, I am NOT a qualified canine behaviourist as yet, and that is why I do not charge a huge amount for training, and I cannot make the promise that I will sort all your dogs problems in a click of a finger, but I do Promise I am committed to helping every single dog and every single person that is willing to commit themselves to the teachings I give, no problem is too big or too small.
Thank you for reading and I really look forward to helping your reach your dogs full potential and you both living a happy life together ❤
