Ms Rowan recently had another appt for her ultrasound to find out how many puppies we were having.
To our shock, the vet couldn't find anything. By the time of her second ultrasound, the puppies should have been the size of cashews which would have been easy to see.
To the vets best estimation, she believes since the breeding between Arleigh and Rowan was so brief and did not go as planned, none of the embryos were viable and her body reabsorbed them.
Rowan is healthy and doing well, and with a proper breeding in the future, she should be able to carry just fine. :)
I'm sorry to those who were looking forward to this litter and a puppy. We were too. However this will definitely give us more time to prepare for big, happy, healthy puppies in the future!
