PALM BEACH COUNTY - BROWARD COUNTY - DADE COUNTY

We are organizing a supply drive for the victims (both humans and animals alike) of Hurricane Ida. Watching Ida rip through the same territory Katrina did 16 years ago is heart wrenching and we want to do whatever we can to help.

HBA will be collecting donations and will personally driving up to deliver them in Louisiana.

A list of supplies needed is below. If you are able to donate, please message me for drop-off location. If you are local, I can pick these items up from you.

- Food (canned foods & dry goods)
- Water
- Gas Cans
- Tarps
- Toiletries (toothpaste/toothbrush, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, soap)
- First Aid Kits
- Flash Lights
- Batteries
- Linens (blankets, sheets, towels...)
- Pillows
- Dog Food
- Cat Food
- Cat Litter
- Animal supplies (collars, harnesses, leashes, beds, crates, etc..)
- Garbage bags

We are planning to head up within the next week or so, given we are able to navigate the roads. Please reach out to us if you are able to donate any supplies so we can coordinate pick-up or drop-off.

Roo is excited because it's almost the weekend!
Which means she gets to go on another adventure.
The road dog of HBAT and my best driving companion, because she never says a word and doesn't judge me listening to true crime podcats for 12+ hours (kidding, kinda...LOL)

I always dreamed of a job where I would be able to travel with my dogs

Mickey was stolen from Bainbridge, GA almost two years ago to the date. His owner received a call last week from Broward County Animal Care and Control that he was picked up as a stray, scanned for a chip, and it was traced back to her.

Mickey needed a ride home and when I heard this story and was asked to assist with this transport I couldn’t say no (and couldn’t stop crying 😂).

After a LONG 2 years, Mickey is finally home with his family and his sister Mallory. Happy tails ❤️🐾 my heart is so so full

We are off to Brooklyn, New York this weekend!

However, this transport is a bitter sweet one for me. I consider these my babies 😩 they belong to one of my best friends and I pet sit them when she is out of town. She’s moving back up north this weekend and I don’t know how to feel 😭

I am so happy to be able to assist them back up but I will miss them all SO MUCH!

Ernesto is an approx 8 year old senior boy who had multiple pleas from MDAS. He was rescued by Rottweiler Hearts Rescue and we have the privilage of taking this boy up to his rescue in NC this weekend! This is his freedom ride ~

Another transport down for HBAT.

This week we transported three furbabies to Maryland and stopped in DC for a little bit of sight seeing!

Thank you to all the amazing supporters and multiple people who have reached out so far regarding transport for their pets!

I am working now on getting to every message and getting out every estimate I received while on the road. You can be expecting them no later than tomorrow @ noon!

How it started, vs. how it's going...

Happy Sunday from our resident rat/hyena/fox hybrid, Murphy!

Murphy was found on the street in February of this year, and after searching for his owners for weeks to no avail, he wiggled his way into all of our hearts and became a permanent member of the pack.

He decided to spend the day relaxing with some White Paws.
We always monitor him to make sure he is drinking responsibly 😉

Eventful day as HBAT makes its first transport as a company 🎊

Little Roo traveled from Boynton Beach, FL to St. Augustine today and she did great! She has spent the last 5 weeks being trained and helped for her fear reactivity. This girl has come a long way. Shell will be off to foster soon! thank you to Thommy Harley from From Kennels To Homes, LLC for allowing us to transport this little babe and thank you to Suzanne Cardiff for all of the great work she has done with Roo and for being her angel from the beginning!

🔆 Meet the owners 🔆

My name is Dara and I am one of the founders of HBAT. I have been passionate about helping animals for as long as I can remember. Over the past 10 years, I have worked closely with countless local rescues networking, advocating, fostering, and transporting all different types of species and breeds but I have always wanted something of my own. So I started thinking of how I could combine my knowledge and experience with animals and rescue but evolve it into something of my own where I can still do my part in helping while putting animals needs first? And thus....HBAT was born. Some of the things I specialize in are: large/bully breed dogs, high prey drive, fear regression/fear aggression, resource guarding, high energy, and flight risks. Please be advised I am not a trainer, I just have years of experience with the above listed and am equipped to handle and transport these animals safely and comfortably. I was a handler & VP of an exotic animal rescue for 2+ years and have experience in handling/transporting animals such as Ring Tail Lemurs, Ruffed Lemurs, Owl Monkeys, Kinkajous, and many different types of Snakes and Lizards. My ultimate goal is to be able to give back to local rescues who have done so much for dogs in need & to provide a safe, reliable option you can trust to transport your furfamily.
