Thunder is loud, unpredictable, and impossible for dogs to locate, which instantly triggers their fight-or-flight instinct. Many pups even feel the static electricity in the air before a storm — making the whole experience even more overwhelming.

Teaching “sit” vs “down” – know the difference! 🐕
Use SIT for quick control: greeting guests, waiting at crosswalks, or pausing on walks. It’s your short-term “wait” command.
Use DOWN for longer settles: during meals, at cafes, or when you need your pup to relax. This teaches patience and impulse control.
Remember: “Sit” is temporary, “down” is rest mode!

Teaching your dog not to pull starts with you. 🐾
If your pup hits the end of the leash and starts dragging you forward, stop right there. Take one step back, call them to you, reward the check-in, and then start walking again. ✨

Stop calling your dog when you can’t enforce it. Every ignored recall teaches them that coming is optional. Use a long line, make it rewarding, and never call them for something negative. Your recall cue should mean ‘sprint back NOW’ - not ‘maybe later.’ Treat it like the emergency tool it is

You might be accidentally creating your dog’s separation anxiety 🐾
If you’re making a big emotional goodbye every time you leave—lots of petting, talking in that worried voice, dragging out the departure—your dog picks up on that anxiety and learns that you leaving is a HUGE deal (and something to stress about).
Instead, try this: Keep departures calm and boring. No big farewell speech. Just grab your keys and go. Come back the same way—low-key, no dramatic reunion for a few minutes.
Your energy teaches them whether your absence is normal or something to panic about. Stay calm, and they’ll learn to stay calm too.

Don’t forget your dog’s bowls!
Food & water bowls should be washed daily to prevent bacteria buildup.

👉 How to wash:
• Use hot soapy water OR
• A mix of 1 part white vinegar + 2 parts water as a natural disinfectant
• Rinse thoroughly & dry before refilling.

Clean bowls = a healthier, happier pup
