This was Bow Wow Chews very 1st dog treat.
The Spring Fling Dog Bone
This treat had a lot of meaning to me, I made it in honor of a local bakery that produced the most delicious cakes, deli salads, coffees and more.
It was called The Market on Larimer St.
I accepted two jobs at this café
I hired my very first sous chef at this café
I was devastated when the market chose to retire.
So I made a product to honor the memories
I had there. As I transition from being a human Chef to a dog Chef, this bone helped me move on to a new adventure in cooking and baking.
I retired this bone in 2022
Ingredients consisted of zucchini, mango, blueberries, and I threw a little basil & carrot in there.
Should I bring this dog treat flavor back?

Happy Friday My Fellow Furry Foodies
As you know we have cat treats dropping very soon!
I wanted to share an awesome process I’ve been learning for your furry foodies.
:
I have taken the mental dive into the process of making homemade bonito flakes, or katsuobushi.
A process that take the fish through a process of being dried, smoked, and fermented.
Believe it or not, this process called for a smoker. Which I didn’t have. So, I built my own. 💪
This very delicate process of making katsuobushi was very time important to me to stay true (as much as possible) to the traditional Japanese technique. I tried 2 types of fish. Traditional tuna as well as salmon.
I learned a lot and lost a lot of sleep trying to keep my smoking pallets burning. 😴 smoking is an art form in itself.
Traditional katsuobushi is an art form that usually takes 3 months, minimum.
I used a method of drying and smoking that took 5 days and the results were similar. Of course nothing like the old world tradition.
I am so proud to share this final product with you.

A true product of labor and love.
We have been testing this beautiful fish for about 2 months now.
Results: love the salmon and the cats love the tuna.

We are days away from dropping our first cat treat for the feline foodie.
I am not gonna lie. I feel nervous, excited, wondering if I marketed the new treats enough on all platforms, will the cat treats sell? And all the feels that come with business ownership.
Until then, I have some fun and exciting news.
We have partnered with a local rancher in Loveland Colorado and now offer beautiful long chews and bones.

We have noticed a lot of chews are geared towards medium and large breed dogs. So we made sure to include chews for little teeth for our smaller fur friends..

Have you all met Stevie? She’s my girl. She’s so smart, she knows her ABC’s, subtraction & division and she speaks 2 languages. She’s basically perfect.
Stevie is my baby. Everyone say hello 👋
Stevie and I spent all day at the Resavoir.
🎁 I even bought myself a nice gift yesterday. A Mother’s Day kayak !! 🛶
2023 I promised myself to get out more and that work is gonna always be ok as long as I take care of myself.
As the kids say these days… summer is about to be lit 🔥 😂
