The rumors of my disappearance have been greatly exaggerated .

I owe you this much...

I am sad to announce that due to personal and other issues that The Cat Business Alliance is no longer in operation. The website is discontinued. Soon my LinkedIn profile will be gone as well.

Among those issues is the "Internet firehose", which grows stronger with a faster flow every day. Keeping up is impossible within reasonable means. Trends in technology and the deterioration of social media are also factors.

Market research has failed to discover a viable market base to make the concept operational. I've contacted and spoken with many people in several areas of the cat industry in hopes of defining a valuable and worthwhile approach to support the mission of aiding efforts of both the business and nonprofit sides toward mutual benefit through the service of cats.

I have said in previous posts that if market research did not support continued efforts, I would call it quits.

It didn't, so I am.

I do have a few words of advice for all connections, followers and other interested parties. Continue to of the . It's real, it's growing and it's yours.

Talk to each other in the spirit of mutual support and find ways to work together. Provide support for cat nonprofits in all ways possible for you and strive to bring more cats home, because they belong there and they're also your true end consumers.

If cats support your living, you must support them living too.

Cats change lives for the better. One changed mine. They can change many, many more with your help.

The Cat Business Alliance is for and about a wide variety of people in cat business, whether veterinarians, groomers, sitters, shelter staff, boarders, retailers, photographers, jewelry makers and all the rest...and their problems , gripes and issues with cat business.

You could all be losing money, and worse yet, not doing enough to bring more cats (a.ka. end-consumers) into homes, which brings more money to you.

The answer is two words: Communication and Collaboration, as as I prefer to call it, Talking and Working Together.

I'm about to start that process. The more interested parties involved, the sooner change will start.

Once you're doing that, the rest is easy. That's when you can really change the cat industry for good. Cats are waiting to go home and many dying before they get there.

Cats love money.

They hide it better than a sore toe, but it's true. They really do.

They have just one problem with it. Have you ever seen a cat spend money? It's either that they feel it's beneath them, or it's the whole opposable thumbs thing.

That's why they like people so much. What, you thought it was your good looks and charm?

I'm convinced they also know that money is their key to home and happiness. The mission of The Cat Business Alliance is to help turn that key to their long awaited destiny. It's definitely a thumbs thing.

The Cat Business Alliance's photo is my slightly wacko former feral boy in the famous "Love Cat" pose in the cat bed that he brought to his new home with him over three years ago. He looks almost sweet and angelic, but don't be fooled. :)

This is for much needed site development, functionality and overhead expenses. Addressing these issues now will get "The Cat Business Circle" picking up speed as we grow.

Are you familiar with the saying, "Give until it hurts"?
All I can say is "Owww". I'm giving all I can and no one's jumping at becoming sponsors. One was too worried, another got too big and so on. It's a tough process, but I will keep moving forward.

The most immediate need is site development and functionality. That's definitely NOT my kind of thing and my less-than-spectacular efforts have been taking too long. The Cat Business Alliance is chomping at the catnip mouse to get things going!

Happy July!

For The Cat Business Alliance, July's coming was a little,,,well, tense.

It's the halfway point of 2022, The Year Of The Tiger. I drastically underestimated how long establishing partnerships can take. Fortunately, there's been some good progress lately with several businesses still in the works and our first agreement with .

Today, I am proud and VERY excited to announce the CBA's partnership with none other than , a real dream come true!

Psyched would be a definite understatement.

My heartfelt thanks to Anna Skaya, Kristin Wuhrman, and the entire super team that is Basepaws, now poised for worldwide impact with Zoetis!!

There'll soon be more announcements of more partnerships. It's time to get to work bringing more cats home!

I first learned of it a while ago and thought it was amazing.

What's the big deal?

It's designed to locate low cost spay/neuter clinics, effectively avoiding many births that soon become casualties.

The problem is maintaining this vital resource.

This is a priceless tool in the fight against economic euthanasia that must be preserved.
