Hope Your All Keeping Cool In This Weather And The Increased Temperatures? … ☀️🥵🔥
Frozen Water Bottles Wrapped In A Towel Or Sock, Tiles, Fans, Wet Towels To Lie On, Extra Water And Also Watery Veggies Are All Great For Small Furries🥒🍉 To Get Some Extra Fluids Into Them.
But Please Don’t Offer Frozen Food Items Or Ice Cubes As This Can Upset Delicate Tummies And Cause Bloat.

The Mutts & Bunnies Fluffs Are Keeping Cool, With The Additions Of Fans, Curtains Closed To Keep The Sun Out And Frozen Water Bottles.
Not Impressed With The ‘New’ Additions Of Frozen Water Bottles Wrapped In A Sock! … Buffy Goes Off For A Wander And Flops In Her Favourite Spot Behind The Tv Unit.
Bertie Fights With The Bottle, Which Was Placed In The Favourite Snoozing Spot, But Finally Settles In His Castle To Snooze 💤

Keeping your pups cool in the heat..... it’s that time of the year again, here’s some ideas to keep your pups cool in the heat...

Remember although some of these ‘cooling’ products are good... they should never be used for more than 20 minutes at a time. ( coats, bandanas)
When used for long periods of time, the dogs fur traps the cool air and the body reacts thinking “oh it’s cold, must warm up” causing the dog to then overheat, so although their great, they must only be used for up to 20 minutes at a time...

The “ice thing” .... that was just scaremongering so YES it is ok to give your dogs ice cubes and they can have as much as they like.... 🧊

All Dogs especially brachycephalic (shortened snouts eg boxers, pugs, bulldogs ect) should never be walked during the day when it’s hot, walk early in the morning or late at night and use the day to keep your furries cool. Play games like toy bobbing in the paddling pool or scent games.
Most of all .... keep safe and have fun with your furries
