A potential Amazon customer asked if two dogs could ride together in one CrateMate setup. In our opinion this is the only way it would be safe/possible but we don’t recommend it. This becomes less of an issue with weight as it is for the size. The dogs would need to both comfortably fit into a 24qt milk crate (for reference). Also please keep in mind the CrateMate harness collar is not designed for pets under 15lbs, meaning two very small dogs would not be safely secured. Not to say this could not work but it would need to be two very specific/sized dogs that don’t mind riding right beside each other. Two CrateMate harnesses are being used here on a 24qt milk crate. The harness is unfortunately not sold separately at this time.

As we listen to our customers, we continue to evolve. We found this somewhat simple modification to add a retractable canopy to your CrateMate. This is a DYI project and will require some basic DIY skills. Cost is around $25. We are still perfecting the fabric on the canopy as we would like more coverage and some simple sewing is needed, however we wanted to hear from you. What do you think so far? Is this something you would like have? Would you want to see a detailed video of this DIY project? Comment below and share!
