Zhytomyr artist Yuri Kamyshny painted a picture in which the dog Patron protects the Ukrainian house from Russian bombs. This drawing will be printed on postcards, and the funds from charitable contributions will be transferred to the needs of the Zhytomyr sapper unit.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has a new diving dog Nayda. The shepherd from the shelter in Cherkasy region showed discipline and passion for water from the first days.
Ukrainian canine superheroes
Amid raging war in Ukraine, dogs became the best devoted servants, especially in delicate sapper and rescue work. Of course, animals do not defuse explosives directly, however one can't find a better sniffer to detect dangerous items. Let alone the involvement of such a cheerful companion that would relieve each harshly stressful working minute of a sapper, which can't make a mistake twice.
Meet Almaz, the Belgian Shepherd serving for one of the branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He is pretty young, but highly promising. He started his career as a search dog just a few months ago. Still, he shortly gained respect and authority among the sappers. He found numerous anti-tank mines already.
Another one is Chris - title search and rescue dachshund. The pooch is 14 years old, he specializes in searching for victims in a technogenic blockage. Together with its owner, the rescue dog handler Sergei Lukhin, they entered the top 100 world rankings of the best dog handlers according to the International Rescue Dog Organization (IRO) in 2019.
And of course, the most renowned sapper dog is Patron - 2-year-old Jack Russel terrier, a ward of the pyrotechnic group head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. He won the hearts of fans from all over the world, having his own instagram account, which highlights his daily labor exploits. Patron is invited to high meetings and ceremonies, and recently the dog personally received an award from President Zelensky.
Every dog could become a superhero - it only takes your love, patience and daily care :)
Following defeat of Russians near Mykolaiv the Belgian shepherd left occupiers, and was taken by Ukrainian National Guard. Now the dog mastered all Ukrainian commands and is ready to serve on the side of good.
