🔸️📍Location: 126 Britton Street, Tom Bean, Tx.
A white dodge truck & gray/black trailer will be set up on the corner across from the bank & city hall. There will also be a pink canopy.

🔸️🕑 **TIME**: 2-6pm. For now, this will be walk-up only & no appointment necessary.

🔸️💥 Please ensure that your pets are safely & effectively secured with properly fitting collars, leashes, crates, etc. ***THERE IS NO BUILDING, so you & your pet will be outdoors unless I am working on them in the trailer. Lubbers Mixed Animal Veterinary Services is not responsible for loose animals. It is your (the animal owners) responsibility to ensure that you can control your pet in a safe, effective & responsible manner.***

🔶️‼️This IS NOT the discounted vaccines clinics that are offered - there is a circulating schedule for those (the last 2 of 2025 will be the 4th & 5th of October.) Walk-up veterinary services (including exams, vaccines, treatments, medications, etc.) are full price. This is an opportunity to walk up, with no appointment & 'skip' the mobile aspect by there being no trip/service fee, as well as no scheduling hassle.

🔸🛻 ️Please be respectful when parking & courteous to the fact that we are in a small, downtown area.

🔸️🐐 Livestock: again, there is no building or cattle working facilities. If you have well behaved small livestock (goats, sheep, etc), well behaved & stands on a halter equine or well behaved show stock -- then there is a possibility they can also be seen in your trailer. **Just please call first & we can discuss**☎️‼️

🔸️🩺 No surgeries will be performed on Thursdays or on a walk-up basis. I am not able to run in-house lab work (very limited). If your pet is urgent or critical, this walk-up opportunity is not the best option for your pet. While the veterinary services I will be able to provide include a wide range of diagnostics, treatments & medications, I still care that your critical pet be seen in a brick & mortar facility. If you are unsure, the best thing to do would be to give me a call before heading over. ☎️

Get your furry family members up to date on their vaccines now, before all of the holiday hustle & bustle! You also won't be in a panic when you decide to take that last minute, holiday trip & your pets aren't up to date on vaccines for boarding. 🐱🐶🐈‍⬛🦮

Pasture Check-In: Is your pasture overgrazed?

You can estimate forage production and calculate stocking rates in your native pastures using The Rangeland Analysis Platform tool https://rangelands.app/production-explorer/

Common forage types and minimum grazing height
Native-Tallgrass Prairie: 6-10 inches*
Native - Mixedgrass Prairie: 4-6 inches*
Fescue: 3-4 inches
Bermudagrass: 2-3 inches
*does not refer to recently burned pastures

Consistent overgrazing can effect..
Pasture Health by
- Reducing long-term forage production
- Increasing plant death during drought
- Allowing invasive species to spread
- Increasing soil erosion
Livestock Production by
- Increasing toxic plant consumption
- Reducing stocker/calf weight gains
- Reducing cow conception rates
