Wilson County Texas No-Kill shelter is a small rural shelter in desperate need of fosters & volunteers.

Have a youth group, fraternity , Sorority, NHS student in need of volunteer hours, or interested in fostering a puppy or 2- please contact Wilson county at [email protected]

HELP 😔 We are inundated. Overwhelmed. Overloaded. Overburdened. Stressed. Exhausted. We are literally bursting at the seams with no end in sight. No matter how many adoptions we process, 100 more animals are waiting to take that one kennel.

We currently have 84 dogs and puppies in our kennels (inside and outside). Yes, you read that right….84 dogs. Of those 84, we have 9 litters of puppies. We also have a stray mom that is not at the shelter, but she just gave birth to puppies. She needs a foster ASAP to get her safe.

We are at a breaking point. With only one person cleaning and feeding 84 dogs every day, it makes for a nearly 12 hour day. This load is unsustainable.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
- Would you be willing to help lighten the load by fostering 1-2 dogs or puppies?
- Would you like to adopt?
- Can you volunteer some time to help clean kennels any day of the week?
- Are you a 501c3 rescue that wants to pull dogs?

Javier and his siblings were found living in a cemetery a couple months ago. We suspect their momma was dumped there while pregnant and they were born at the cemetery. By the time they were rescued, their momma had already left them to fend for themselves. There are many dumped dogs at this cemetery and all of them are just trying to survive.

Javier is a big, sweet boy and is ready for his FURever home. He is a 4.5 mos old golden lab and will grow more. He has a reduced adoption fee of $100 and this includes: all puppy shots, rabies vaccine, neuter, and microchip.

Updated: transported to a rescue partner

Snowy was found as a stray when she was just a little pup. The person who found her meant to find her a rescue or home but never did. Weeks turned into months and Snowy grew. She wasn’t a bother so it wasn’t urgent that she leave. But now they’re days away from moving out and Snowy can’t go with them. Thankfully we were able to get a spay appointment for Snowy for this Saturday. However, she will be homeless on Monday if we can’t find a foster or adopter for her 😩😩

Reduced adoption fee of only $100 for Snowy. This includes: spay, all vaccines, chip, one month of bravecto, and one month of heartworm prevention. She’s still a pup.. around 7mos old. She’s only known life tied outside and deserves better. 😔

Also available for rescue transfer.
Currently in Mission TX.

This sweet girl needs a home like yesterday! She is 3 years old up to days on vaccines and spayed. I've been told shes half husky, half boxer. Good with kids, cats, and dogs.

She will not be good with livestock as these breeds have high kill drive and will not be a protector and should not be exposed to these animals without proper supervision.

This sweet girl deserves a chance at life. One where she is loved and not shoved into a high kill shelter where she will have no chance.

Shes been in her current home since birth so this entire situation is beyond sad. They have forced her to share a yard with chickens and livestock and now she's being punished for having a high kill drive.

Someone anyone please help adopt this girl, foster this girl anything!!!
