Great class by the Family Paws 🐾! Education for all pet professionals that can help give information to families or those about to start a family. This includes shelter and rescue staff/volunteers who do adoptions to families!

Education is key! 🗝️

This 4-part webinar series serves to inform veterinary and pet care professionals on how to better educate and support families with dogs and children. Through a better understanding of the dog as a canid species, as well as their developmental stages and impacts on behavior, we can support and guide families in how to decrease childhood bites and lessen the risks of a dog being relinquished, rehomed, or euthanized. Participants of this program will come away with a better understanding of how to prevent childhood bites by providing families with knowledge, guidance, and support regarding relationships between children and dogs.

Approved for 4 hours of CE credit for veterinarians and veterinary technicians by AAVSB RACE, NY State, and the NJVMA. Approved for 4 hours of CEU credit by IAABC and for behavior consultants by CCPDT.

This is abuse! It's disgusting how this con artist literally chokes dogs. As rescues we MUST do better! We MUST know the most up to date and long term RESEARCH on learning, behavior, etiology, and everything dog and PROMOTE education and care. Smh so 🤬 angry right now.

This rescue just promoted treating your dogs like this to all their followers. They are telling their adopters and followers that his abusive methods are good methods. Absolutely disgusting. Trainers who use pain inflicting methods even bash this disgusting behavior of the person who labels himself an expert. He is straight up abusing dogs in basically all his videos.

This is a dog bite waiting to happen. As a dog trainer currently in a certification program where I've learned even more about body language than I have before, this scares me.

This is a rescue. Dogs get labeled aggressive or put to sleep for bites, especially to a child. A child should NEVER put their face in a dog's, let alone a timid aka fearful dog whose body language suggests it is not comfortable with the situation.

Just because a dog is not growling or moving away doesn't mean it likes what you are doing.

People trust rescues and shelters and breeders to know about proper human to canine and canine to canine interactions. By posting these images thinking it's helping the dog get adopted, they have just misinformed everyone who sees this post about dog safety.

And they have not allowed this dog their 3 days of compression before putting it in front of a strange fastoving creature who keeps touching it and getting in it's face.

Our rescues and volunteers need education to prevent bites and not cause more stress to already stressed out fur babies in need. I want to be thay educator. I would love to help the entire country learn more about dogs. I'd also love to atart a mobile spay and neuter van and offer spay and neuter certificates for low income. That's my major goal as a non profit.

We don't know what we don't know. But, we should always be learning especially as a dog advocate.

I am reallllly leaning towards a foundation. I think it is so freaking important to try to cut out the problem of too many dogs and not enough homes at it's source; spay/neuter Nd education for pet parents.

What's your opinions? Do you have anything in your area like that? What would you want to see happen?

Hey Everyone! I'm Jen, the person behind the dream of this rescue becoming operational! Just wanted to tell you a little bit more about me for those who don't know me.

As mentioned, I am a foster Mom for Broken Tail Rescue, Inc.. Below is an image of Toby. We like to call him "Toby the Terrorist" 😂. He really is a sweety who wants to be your shadow but he is shy and fearful. He does take a bit to warm up to you and other pets in the home. After a month he randomly tried to engage with the Frenchie, Kujo but mostly keeps his distance.

I worked at, and now volunteer with Sterling Animal Shelter. My co-workers there are wonderful! They are always willing to learn more about dog's body language, ways to keep them happy/ help them adjust to shelter life, and new ways to provide enrichment. I am forever grateful for learning the behind-the-scenes of shelters. It's not all puppy sniggles. It's lots of cleaning p**p! 😂. It's much more than that But I could talk forever!

I started a photography business in 2019 and now specialize in pets. And I am currently enrolled in a dog trainer academy for positive training methods. I have started getting my business for dog training rolling. I will speak about those in another post though!

Hey All!

PPR/Pawtastic Pups Rescue is based in Massachusetts but our family is planning on moving to the Carolinas in the next few years. I do not know how that affects the 503 status. And what will need to be done to transfer states. I do know some of Massachusetts laws and regulations on pups coming up from out of state.

For now, I am a foster Mom with a wonderful Mass based rescue Broken Tail Rescue. They mostly take owner surrenders and local strays from Animal Control.

If you are interested in fostering or donating I recommend doing so through Broken Tail Rescue, Inc. !

Setting up is going to be a slow process as I have signed up for a dog trainer academy and I don't have many funds I can donate towards the rescue yet, nor do I want to accept donations until I'm fully set up!

Hi I'm Jen, the founder of Pawtastic Pups Rescue. I am dedicated to the well being of dogs in need including providing basic training and giving dogs time to decompress to understand their personalities.

I hope to work with pet parents, animal controls, and veterinarians to reduce unwanted litters by helping with spay and neuter costs for low income families and strays.

I am not yet 503c but just starting out to build relationships with partners in the East Coast from Florida to Maine ❤️.

I look forward to seeing this rescue grow and advocate for national guidelines for pet welfare.
