It is with deep sadness that I let you know that West Winds Byzantium crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning, he was our oldest buff and such a gentle soul. We still have his sister, West Winds Mango Tango.

Buzz was a favorite here and although being gentle was such a character... he will be missed.

Newborn guinea pigs start life with hair, open eyes and ears, and teeth that are already present, and they are able to walk within a short time of birth. Believe it or not, they start to nibble on solid food from as early as two days old.

This Dinner Slaps...

Cartoon description:
Panel one - Teddy (a grey fluffy guinea pig), Biscuit (a ginger and white Abyssinian guinea pig) and Bumble (a pink hairless guinea pig) are looking at a plate full of various vegetables. They look excited to eat, and Biscuit says "Aah, a nice civilised dinner time. I love you guys!)
Panel two- Teddy didn't hear Biscuit, as he is already eating a large piece of lettuce, and he asks "What was that, Biscuit?". Biscuit begins to answer "I said I lov..." But he cannot finish his sentence as Teddy swings his head around and inadvertently slaps him around the face with a large piece of lettuce, causing pieces of food to go flying.
Panel three - Bumble, on the other side of Biscuit, also didn't hear what was said. So he also swings his head around and slaps Biscuit on the other side of his face with another large piece of lettuce. Biscuit yells "Aaargh!" As Bumble says "You'll have to speak up, I'm eating!"
