This little lady was found all alone on Glenmore Drive. She does not have a tattoo or microchip, but she has a wonderful personality. She looks like she has been cared for, so we are hopeful there’s a person out there looking for her.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FOSTER FOR LIZZO (or foster-to-adopt❤️)

Hello all - we are looking for a compassionate foster for our sweet-but-shy middle aged lady, Lizzo. Lizzo is overweight and diabetic, and she will need a strict diet schedule and two, timed insulin injections per day. (We are currently doing 7am and 7pm). A quiet household with a mature adult would be ideal. She does get along with other cats, but would have to be kept away from their food.

Lizzo’s origin information has been lost, but she is at least 9 years old. She slowly gained weight over the last couple of years due to what the vets have guessed is stress eating. We took Lizzo into the vet earlier this year to see why she had gained so much weight, and also why she was displaying “going into heat” behaviour, despite being told she was fixed. Turns out Lizzo still had her uterus and that it had developed multiple tumours on it (non-cancerous) that were probably painful, so in turn she was over-eating to try to calm the pain. 😓 The vets speculate that the diabetes may be reversible if we can get her weight down.

We have an amazing volunteer and donor who is willing to cover Lizzo’s veterinary and medical costs, however we really do need to find her a loving home and human that can meet the requirements of her dietary and insulin needs. She is such a sweet girl that just needs a stable environment to be able to unfold and become her true, sweet self. 🐈‍⬛😻 Please share and help us find a foster for Lizzo! ❤️ And please reach out if you are interested in meeting or learning more about Lizzo.

UPDATE: Owners found and second kitty he was travelling with is home safe also. Thank you OHS Community for sharing and getting this guy home today.

FOUND All Black male cat Windermere Rd, lower mission area of Kelowna near Barnes Rd. Friendly, but timid, hanging out in back yard shrubs all night for several nights, with a second black cat (not seen again). Beautiful all black fur, no markings, was intact, no ID or collar, and not seen before in the neighbourhod. Likely 1-2 yrs old.

Shadow - my baby who originally came from Kittyville - would like to wish you all a very Meowy Christmas! 🎄 🐈‍⬛ He would also like to say that if any of you would like to get the Kittyville kitties a little something for Christmas we have an Amazon wishlist with some delicious and practical gifting suggestions!
