Hello all… we are still looking for a foster or forever home for this sweetheart - someone who can give her time, attention, interaction and play - she is alone in an isolation room right now as she is on a strict diet and insulin injection schedule (2x day) and she simply doesn’t get the interaction she needs ❤️… perhaps a retired person? A diabetic who can relate to her struggle? Someone who wants a sweet companion? Injecting insulin is actually quite simple, and we do it while she is eating so she doesn’t even notice! Sadly, last week we had to say goodbye to our beautiful, goofy boy Shadow. 🐈‍⬛❤️ He came to live with us two and a half years ago after spending 8 years at Warren Peace Bunny Sanctuary (since he was abandoned there as a kitten), where he was affectionately known as “Velcro cat” to my volunteer predecessors. He was a VERY needy boy, who just wanted to be with his people all day long if possible - when I came home from work he would yell at me until I came and sat down on the couch and gave him cuddles. In fact, if he wasn’t sleeping he was yelling at me to come give him attention- which I did, of course. 😁 He had a lot of love to give. He loved drinking water off of the floor of the shower, and would come into the bathroom with us and ask us to turn the shower on for him so he could get a little drinky. 💦 He liked to play pass with ping pong balls, and chasing the little red dot was his absolute favourite game. Of course his most favourite thing to do was sit on his mom and cuddle. I loved it too. Although he was only 11, he sadly developed a large mass under his tongue which turned out to be cancer. I loved that little guy so much. 🐈‍⬛ our little Shadow man. My little baby panther. May you be happy and warm and pain-free wherever you may be ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌈

Flash back to Penny just over a year ago 🥹 she is soooooo adorable!!! Penny and her sister Hazel are currently still living at Catelowna Cat Cafe looking for a forever home! ❤️

It’s the last day of March, and I didn’t want to end the month without introducing you to our calendar cat of the month… Sylvester! Sylvester is a playful, active, loving, chatty guy who gets along well with other cats and is looking for a forever home! He is approximately 4-5 years old, is neutered, has all his vaccinations, and is ready to jump into your heart! He could possibly do well in a family with kids (not too young) as he is so active and playful, or some other cats to interact with.

He doesn’t like change, however, so he will need a little adjustment time to get used to new surroundings and people. But once he is comfortable he is a joy to behold. 😊 Message us if you would like to come and meet Sylvester! ❤️

I dropped into yesterday to check in on our two sisters - Penny and Hazel - who went there to find a forever home last fall. These two came to us in a litter of kittens a couple of summers ago - they are almost 2yrs old now! Oh how time flies! They are still small little girls though, and Hazel has gotten much friendlier and “touchier”! Penny has gotten so comfortable that she mostly just sleeps all day 😜 Penny is the sweetest little cutie, and although Hazel is not technically “spicy”, she is still a bit aloof. She loves running on that wheel! Pop into if you would like to visit them ❤️ where they are currently the “Cats of the week”!
