My name is Ariel Carpenter and I am the breeder behind Pathfinder Pomskies. Pathfinder Pomskies is a small & humble breeding program that was born out of sheer passion of the breed. We have spent the past couple of years under a mentorship; and also researching, learning and preparing for our premiere into the Arctic Spitz community. We are excited to sustainably contribute to this wonderful, athl

etic up-and-coming companion breed as it progresses in both standards and AKC recognition. What's different about us? Sure, cosmetics and colors are undoubtedly important when choosing puppies- but we understand that structure and sound temperaments endlessly trump color genetics. Organizations such as the APKC have been paramount in setting the breed standards and we always strive to follow their guidelines during our journey of producing the happiest and healthiest pomsky puppies you've ever seen! We also go the extra mile with temperament evaluations on our pups to make sure our puppies aren't just going to the families that can pay for them- but the families that are the most ideal match for them. Our program encompasses the following core values, without compromise: Health, Ethics, Communication, & Transparency. All of our dogs are raised in the home and go on adventures with us as family members! “Petit Homme” or “Little Man”! 🇨🇦 If our beloved Pathfinder Pumpkin was known for one thing, it would definitely be her sons. That girl just knew how to make ‘em ❤️ You’ve probably seen him before, and it probably won’t be the last, but we always love sharing Kyubi (Pathfinder Valor). He left a memorable mark on us before his pilgrimmage to Canada. We are so grateful this beautiful boy found such a stellar mama to raise him! Athena, our snow-kissed princess of the Pathfinder realm has always been so inquisitive- quietly exploring her surroundings. Her hobbies include napping on thick blankets of snow and standing upright on her two legs when she is happy to see you. She constantly reminds us of her sire, Pathfinder Bear. They are so similar! And with her gold-standard temperament- we are eagerly awaiting her first, debut litter of little explorers projected to arrive in the early summer. 🤞🏻🌲🏔️☀️

Its been more than a year since our last litter. As we see so many promising pairings out there in the pomsky world pulling fresh buns out of the oven, we can’t help but feel that yearning nostalgia (and a little FOMO too of course!) of just how incredible it feels to foster and shepherd new life into the world. Many months of intention, planning, and hard decisions WILL come to fruition. I appreciate everyone who has been so patient with the lack of new pathfinder puppies while I tended to some personal life obstacles. We are so so soo excited for the future! 🌲💗

After a very long break, it’s time for us to begin preparing for the next generation of Pathfinders set to arrive soon this year! We have very high expectations for this litter of standards; however this is both Raiko & Athena’s debut litter so we don’t have previous pups to go off of or heat cycle timing for them quite figured out yet. So of course, we will keep everyone satiated with updates as they come. Our early-bird wait-listers have staked their claims, three spots have been taken, and we now only have TWO spots left! If there was a way to create a permanent bed of snow all year around, I’m fairly certain that miss Pathfinder Athena would just adore that. Her and Raiko’s debut litter waitlist was privately opened on New Years to our early bird wait listers and now the remaining slots left will be revealed to the public- more information and details later this week ❄️💕

Pathfinder Raiko pranced into the new year with us yesterday, bidding farewell to 2024 with all its challenges and triumphs. With Raiko and Athena’s premier litter expected soon, we’re excited to fill this year with the joy of happy, healthy Pathfinder puppies—something we’ve truly missed after over a year due to life circumstances. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

Even in blurry candids, Athena’s beauty is undeniable. We’re adoring her excellent rear angulation, compact frame- and oh that luscious wooly winter coat that’s emerged! We’re so proud to call her one of our own, representing the best of our early lines and the bright future of our program! ❄️

Pathfinder Athena has beaten her record for standing on her two legs for a full 30 seconds! (It was actually 26 but i just rounded, close enough 🤫) The balance this girl has 😂 And the fact that I barely had to train her, she just likes showing off and spreading contagious happiness 🥰

And next up is our boy Pathfinder Raiko, topping off at 30 lbs and 20 inches tall! Hailing from not one but BOTH parents that won top awards at the 2024 APKC Breed Show! With the pomsky breed becoming more and more dainty in appearance, we believe that his thicker skull composition and heavier bone set bring a much needed and promising complement of balance to the breed’s table! He is still fluffing up and earning his mane, but we are exceedingly optimistic at just how him and Athena will complement each other structurally; their resulting offspring as hearty, healthy, compact, sturdy, and temperamentally well-rounded pups! We may not be the program for those who want minis or tiny toys, and that’s okay with us- but if you want a cuddle buddy that can also keep up with your outdoor family travels and adventures, while still being smaller than a husky- a Pathfinder may just be what you need! We can’t wait to see what this boy delivers to the breed! Establishing a breeding pair truly is a meticulous art with so many factors to consider and we are SO confident in our choices. And with that, I shall hop off my soapbox and give thanks to all of the compliments and excitement we have received. Stay tuned 💛

It’s been awhile since the princess of the pathfinder realm was in the spotlight! She still has just a tad bit of fluffing up to do, but other than that, she is completely grown at 21 lbs and 17.8 inches tall! She inherited her father’s quietness and her mother’s playfulness making her the poster child of balance in the breed! Structurally a total charm as well and has that lovely compact build we always put a gold star sticker on! One of her quirks? She stands tall on her two feet when shes excited or happy 🤭 We expect she will be making her debut as a mama in the first or second quarter of 2025; whenever mother nature makes her second visit, so stay tuned for when our waitlist officially opens up! Our reservation slots tend to get claimed rather quickly.

Congratulations to our beloved Pathfinder Bear for officially reaching Retired status! We prefer to retire our breeding dogs while they are still in their younger years so they can continue to enjoy the zest life has to offer without the extra obligations! I’m so inexplicably proud of him and also happy with how amazing his family and life is. I can’t wait to see him again. This boy set an impossible, golden standard for temperaments and we sincerely hope her daughter carries that legacy forward for the breed! We love you so much Bear! 🧸🤎
