My name is Laura and I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (Knowledge Assessed), Family Dog Mediator, and AKC Evaluator. It is my belief that the best dog training helps a person understand who their dog is as an individual, gain insight on their dogs needs, and encourages behavior change with positive reinforcement. My overall goal is to help dogs and their families to learn to live together harmoniously while still allowing them the freedom to be what they are... a dog!

Jennifer and Monty (15 month Golden Doodle) have been working towards their AKC Canine Good Citizen title for months and today they finally got it! Congratulations team!

Had a great adventure today with Daisy and some doggie friends! Daisy is around 7 months old and we spent today working on seeing new things (like shopping carts, elevators, and fake animals) and calm reactions to new people and dogs. She rocked it!

Meet the Dogs!

Hela, 1 year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Loves making new friends, and voicing all her opinions. The most bubbly, hard working, girl.

Biggest training challenge? Hela has really bad FOMO! Anytime she gets left out she is very vocal about her displeasure. We’re working on hanging out more calmly while other dogs work.

Meet the Dogs!

Fenrir (Finn) is a 3.5 year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi. He enjoys playing tug, agility, and being told how cute he is. Along with being my trusted training companion, Finn is also my service dog.

Biggest training challenge? Finding new things to work on with him. Finn gets bored quickly practicing old behaviors and starts to check out, but he LOVES trying something new.

Meet the Dogs!

Baldur, (almost) 6 year old Greyhound Mix. The sweetest, gentlest guy in the world. Commonly found twisted into a pretzel or looking for something he can eat.

Biggest training challenge? Baldur struggles with generalized anxiety, causing him to shut down when he feels stressed out. We work a lot on bravery and confidence to improve his quality of life.

Loki (female), 8 year old Lab Mix. Our resident puppy raiser and greeter of all guests. By far the snuggliest pup in our family.

Biggest training challenge? Overly friendly with new dogs and people, leading to frustration when she doesn’t get what she wants.

Hela has an ear infection! 😱 So while we were waiting our turn at agility class today we did a little work on a chin rest. The goal of this behavior is for Hela to allow me to hold her face still while we clean her ears. Continuing work on Hela’s nails. This time working handling with the nail clippers present. Our biggest challenge here is her sensitivity about her right paw being touched, so we’re working through it slowly.
