Can I ask you all a question.
Posting large parcels seems to be a costly thing to do.
I've been advised to go with a courier that collects so it does not have to go into a warehouse. Anyone have any experience with posting large parcels? If so who did you use and would you recommend them?

Never let it be said that you never stop learning.
Who knew drying time was different to cure time. So acrylic paint is supposed to have 48hrs between coats. As it happens I've been giving 24hrs and not had much of a problem but hey ho, now I know. Lol.

Morning all.
Ive had a few people asking why these are expensive. For the amount of work that goes into one of these designs I honestly don't think it is.
Each piece is designed and hand carved from scratch. That's just the beginning of it. It then has to be grouted once a day (24hrs to fully cure) for 4 days. Then the painting which can be a mission in itself. Then 4 coats of sealer again 24 hrs to cure between coats. In actual hands on hrs these designs can take well over 25hrs.
I'm happy to open a discussion on this but please understand what goes into making them first.
Anyway, back to the workshop.
I feel like father Christmas lol.

Due to the sheer amount of orders already placed I will be requiring a deposit once your happy with the design, once your colour scheme is agreed if you change your mind it becomes a redundant product.
So just to be clear, once it's built and grouted and your happy a 50% deposit must be paid before your colour scheme is started.
I know your all reasonable people and I'm sure you understand why this has to be done.

OK so the first three pieces have now been commissioned and are ongoing their transformation.
Grout, more grout, oh and more grout then paint, and a bit more paint then copious amounts of waterproof sealer.
Great start.
