Happy Sunday! It’s been a busy 5 months since I left Arizona and moved to Tennessee. I miss Arizona a lot and I my clients soooo much and get sad everytime I get a text message from someone asking me to watch their dogs and I have to inform them I am no longer in Arizona. BUT good news! I am officially opening the doors to my dog boarding business, Liberty Acres Dog Lodge, LLC. If you have used my services in the past, I would really appreciate if you could help me build good reviews on Google- this is critical for helping my business show up and gain exposure on Google. I know I’m no longer in AZ but this would only take a few seconds and would help me out so much. Thank you again for your continued support

Why the pitbulls? They are dangerous! - why rescue? There’s no money in that. Why the broken ones they can’t be fixed! ——— because at many times in my life, I needed help and no one came for me. At many points I was broken, but I bounced back. I tried numerous times to fix broken people, and only ended up hurting myself.. so, this is why I rescue the at risk dogs. This is why I am drawn to the pits. This is why I don’t give up. This is why I stay motivated, because I know there is so much work to do.

In December of 2022, my pet sitting side hustle really took off. I will never be able to fully express my gratitude for my clients in the San tan valley area. I never expected my side hustle to become such a rampant demand and something that would become truly a life altering event. Now, I am in the stages of opening up my own dog boarding facility , a legit business - not just a side hustle. Thank you to my clients who were with me from the beginning, YOU created this 🩷 I wish there was a way to bring my easy valley clients with me- I miss your dogs I really do

Are you guys wondering what I’m up to since I left Arizona?! I started a page for our homestead. If you would like to follow our journey as beginning homesteaders, give it a like! You can watch what goes into starting a homestead!! My goal is to show everyone they are capable of following their dreams and achieving their goals.

What is the story behind Liberty Acres? Hi, I’m Liana. I am a first time, first generation homesteader and I am excited to share my adventure with you! So why the name Liberty? It comes from the French term Liberte used during the revolution, in memory of my grandma who lived through it. I used to hear her stories growing up and thought she was crazy. The year of 2020 really changed my perspective on her stories. I began a brand new mindset after that. Prior to that, I had been a single mom who had just been lucky enough to work my way into a job as a corrections deputy with a sheriff’s department in Southern California. I made good money and wanted nice things and that was about the extent of my mindset. I never thought about preparing for an emergency in my personal life, or being self sustaining or really anything outside of work- but Thankfully during that time, I met my husband there! He is a working part of this homestead as well but prefers to stay behind the scenes. We ultimately decided that we wanted to escape the chaotic lifestyle that has taken over modern society and were blessed with the opportunity to live on this 22 acre property in the South East corner of Tennessee. We are hoping to be able to be involved in the community and find ways to give back once we are set up.
I am excited to share our journey with you and show every people that you can use your dreams and inspirations in many ways you never knew!

I helped with BFP’s efforts to shut down the envigo lab a few years back, now they have shut down another major testing facility. If you go to their page you can see the numerous animals in need of homes from this project.

Marley is 4 months old and needs a foster home. He is fantastic around kids. Crate trained. Housed trained with occasional accidents. Located in Mesa. He will need to be neutered, which we are working on.

I am two weeks away from my move. Again, I cannot express the gratitude for the clients I’ve had here in Arizona. Happy new year! Unfortunately this new year means thousands of lives ending for bully breeds. If you have not heard of what is happening in the UK, please look it up. There are a series of laws going into effect that will target bully breeds and lead to the genocide of thousands of dogs. While I am outraged and trying to bring a voice to situation, I also remind everyone of the ongoing bully genocide here in America. Just go to any local shelter- what type of dogs do you predominantly find?? Pitbull types. Because they are overbred, mistreated and dumped. And because the stereotype is they are unpredictable, or “broken” or unsafe to bring around children… so they sit, in the overcrowded shelters being over looked for days- months- even years on end to the point where yes, eventually they will become broken. The shelter wears everyone down. 2023 was insane, and never ending. Dumped dogs, e-lists, constant surrenders. All rescues were overrun, overwhelmed and exhausted. I pray we can better in 2024 and I pray for the bullies in the UK. Please be their voice.

Although I have discontinued services due to my upcoming relocation, I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for everyone this year!!! I started my pet sitting hustle towards the end of 2022 and could not believe how much I grew and how fast!!!! I think since December of 2022 I have had maybe 4 weekends off 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 I cannot believe how many clients I gained and how many returning clients I kept thru the year! Between working my full time office job and doing this on the side, yes I have been EXHAUSTED but I have been so grateful and your animals have kept me going! Leaving was a tough decision because after building this amazing client base this past year, it is very very very hard to walk away from the amazing people I work for and the success I have had. Unfortunately working two jobs with a kid is just not feasible long term, and the high cost of living in Arizona does not allow me to solely rely on pet sitting as much as I would like to. I had to make a decision to take what I can now and go to a simpler life, where I can put my family first. I am so incredibly grateful for all of the people and pets I have met through this service and for how successful it was just in a year! A huge part of me feels guilty leaving, and I sincerely wish that I could take all my clients with me. Thank you all for everything this year! I pray you all have a safe new year! God bless🩷 -Liana
