Fluffy is a feral cat that we feed and could never manage to trap. She had her 3 babies on our back porch and today they are 3 weeks old! We’ve never even gotten close to them but it looks like one of the babies has a crusty eye so we’ll have to do some finagling to clean up their faces. It’s very common for kittens born to outside cats to get crusty eyes from mushing their little faces into the momma’s not so clean fur while nursing. Fluffy will end up being a TNR when her babies are ready to be adopted. We’ll put her back outside with the others in the colony so she can go about her life with no more litters! I can’t wait to figure out names for these cuties!
Oh my goodness! I got a message on Tuesday from an acquaintance of Mia & Miranda from high school asking for some help. Her grandfather had a litter of 5 kittens born to a friendly, young cat in his yard. Through further conversation with this man’s daughter, we found out there was another cat with a new litter but they didn’t know where she hid them. My daughters went and got the litter of 5 and the mom early this afternoon and after school, we went back to get the other litter of 2 and the mom. Turns out the mom of 2 is also the mother to the mom of 5. So we are the excited new fosters of a mother/daughter pair of moms and their seven kittens! (We might have to draw out a family tree!)
My daughters were rock star rescuers today! These littles are only a few days old. They are so cute and the whole bunch of them are varying patterns of gray and white!
We are pleased to introduce Ellis Grey, Meredith Grey and the Grey-Sloan Seven! 🏥
