Just a friendly reminder that our pets cannot have these items in their diets.
Why? you might ask.
Turkey skin holds onto spices, rubs, and marinades which can cause irritation of the stomach in our pet's
Drippings/ Gravy contain high-fat content that can cause pancreatitis.
Cooked bones are brittle which can shatter in the mouth or stomach causing severe issues requiring vet assistance.
Onions contain a toxic principle known as N-propyl disulfide. This compound causes a breakdown of red blood cells, leading to anemia in dogs.
Alcohol cannot be processed by animal's kidneys
Dough/ Batter can rise in the animals stomach causing it to expand past it's limit.
Nuts contain high-fat content that can cause pancreatitis.
Sage can cause digestive upset
Nutmeg contains myristicin which can cause harmful reactions, including high blood pressure, hallucinations, increased heart rate, abdominal pain, or even seizures.
Raisins/ Grapes tartaric acid in grapes cause symptoms such as vomiting. diarrhea, excessive thirst, and kidney damage or failure
Candied yams and desserts these contain too much sugar for our animals to process
Artificial sweeteners like Xylitol are extremely toxic to dogs. Even small amounts of xylitol can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), seizures, liver failure, or even death in dogs.
