And that’s a wrap! Ripper will be headed to his new home soon! Huge thank you to everyone that has reached out and shown interest in this boy, I’m so glad that others can see just how special he is! Couldn’t have asked for a better turnout and I am just so so proud of how Ripper performed.

I can’t wait to see where else life takes this one of a kind horse!

Making the most out of our quickly ending time together 🥹 not gonna lie I’m going to miss his calm and go with the flow temperament. Such an easy boy to get along with, I can’t wait to see how he thrives in his forever home!

How it started vs. how it’s going.
So glad I got to have such a solid role model for these baby girls even if it was a short period of time. We’re going to miss Ripper in our girly gang!

Does Ripper let strangers come up and pet him loose in the field? The answer is yes and he’ll slowly sidle over to you to get the good belly scratches 😉

Sharing is caring, if this doesn’t show what a sweet soul Ripper has I don’t know what will. 🤩 He’s always down to share with the babies or even the miniature ponies. Very low man on the totem pole in the herd but at the same time doesn’t let much push him around. Overall just a sweet, non-confrontational, loving guy 🤷🏼‍♀️ what more could you want!

Rips ponied out on his first trail ride 🤩 he did amazing. Had to push through branches that crossed the path as well as ferns that brushed his belly. All with the saddle on as well! He saddled up this morning tied in the aisle-way before doing any work and he was perfect. Besides my lil mare feeling spicy it was an amazing group ride!

Today was full of fine tuning our forehand turns, haunch turns, and side passing both ways. As well as trotting in hand and backing. All with the saddle on! He’s getting used to moving under saddle and the different feelings that come with wearing one. I was able to just toss it on and cinch it up no issue. After some body work we moved onto some tarp and rope work, he did so good! A bit jumpy to start off whenever the tarp moved and at times he felt he couldn’t get away from it but he quickly realized that when he stops moving the tarp stops.
We ended the session by me putting some of my own weight in the stirrups on both sides and then I threw a weighted pair of pants over his back to carry around. I feel like he’s getting a good head start on saddle breaking 🤩

Ripper will be available at the end of competition Sep 1-3 during the auction! Don’t miss out on this guy!

💎What an absolute gem of a soul💎

Ripper and I got to go to a trail course yesterday and by the end of the 2 hour session he had done every single obstacle! He tries so hard for his handler and is so willing to please!
Water boxes, tarps, ditches, noodles at every point of his body, balloons, tire platforms, pinwheels, big ball, and a tunnel. You name it he did it! All while donkeys were talking and emus were running around. Not to mention loading into the trailing and hauling out for the first time ever! Loaded right in both times, tied up, and divider closed. Didn’t even blink an eye at it I was very impressed!

⭐️Ripper WILL be available at auction after the competition September 1-3⭐️

Ripper got a nice whitening bath today! x2 because he was that dirty 😅 his mane glitters when it’s clean 🤩🤩
Plus some bonus pictures of him living his pasture life with his babies and some play time! We work on the basics often and any day I don’t work him I make sure to go out and give him lots of scratches so he doesn’t get the idea that I only catch him to work 🥳
Hard to believe he’s only 2! He’s growing so fast and very butt high at the moment. I need to get a stick out to measure him but my guess is he’s 15-15.1 at the withers so far. Once he catches up with his rear my guess is he’ll be an easy 15.2 or more!

Photo dump from this whole weekend of work! I worked him Friday through Sunday consistently, I had a little bit of fight by Sunday for catching in the field but nothing to bad.
🌟hoses off / bathes consistently
🌟Went on a few walks to explore the space
🌟did showmanship work (backing, walk/trot in hand, haunch turn, forehand turn (both ways), standing square, stop)
🌟a lot of round pen work, flag work, body work, tarps, spray bottles, tying in different places
🌟did some basic saddle work (on, off, on again, cinched, uncinched)
🌟picked up all four feet willingly! (I’ve been taking it slow, he’s been a tougher one than usual with his feet)

Overall I’m pretty happy with how Ripper is turning out 🤩
Such a handsome, happy, growing, and healthy boy!
