I just finished a well needed massage on Jack's right side. He was extremely tight. He's dozing off so I guess I'll just do the left side when he's willing to turn over. I'm looking forward to seeing him walk less stiffly. He's a 10 yr old bullmastiff mix with some hip arthritis, and yet he jumps up and down and runs around as if he's a puppy, then of course he's achy afterwards.

I'm so saddened by the news that my very first client, Star, the wonderful McNabb who spent hours with me, allowing me to massage her for my "hours" while completing my massage course and then afterwards, has passed away. Rest in Peace sweet girl and thank you for the many hours we spent together ❤️ Every dog I massage, I form a bond with, and you never forget your first. I'm so sorry for your loss Liz :(

20.5 yr old Marley still jumps on furniture and pretends to be a gargoyle. She has a back taping, her back was bothering her this morning. She had a massage earlier. Apparently the kinesiology taping and massage must have made her back feel better today.There's another video of her jumping off her throne to go bark at the door.

This post is dedicated to my sweet client Sadie who has had weekly massages with me for a while now. Initially we started off with taping and massage, then laser but towards the end we just stuck with massages. She's unfortunately going over the rainbow tomorrow, her degenerative myelopathy is now causing her tremors. I was fortunate to take her treats and give her love today one last time. It's very sad. You definitely get attached to the long time clients. Well Sadie I love you, you've been an absolute joy to work with and I'll miss you so much 💓

It had been over a week since Marley's last massage/laser therapy. She was suffering from tight triceps, tight lat dorsi, tight neck muscles and sluggish walking. First I worked the triceps and lat dorsi, followed by the rest of the front limbs. I used asissi loop on one shoulder, 8 minutes of laser on the ailing shoulder, followed by laser acupressure of the hindlimbs (hips, knee). Well, she was dragging me up the hill on the walk. I need to start exercising to keep up with her after a massage/laser session. This is 20 yr old Marley chilling.

Using the TENS unit on Marley to help her back pain. Might do the right leg that drags a little too. She doesn't seem to mind it at all. We'll see how she is afterwards.

Marley's ready to go run around in the field. Taping for luxating patella, carpal taping and sacroiliac joint taping. And of course back stretch by standing on her back legs. Standing on her back legs and having some steps backwards helps strengthen her legs. For those who don't already know, Marley is my 20 yr old arthritic dog but seeing her run across the field you'd never guess she's that old.

New changes. Starting February, I'll be charging $50 a session, which would include massage (myofascial, trigger point, stretching, range of motion, if needed) and laser acupressure. $10 extra for kinesiology taping. Sessions could range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. My goal is to help the dog with whatever I think will help.

20 yr old Marley is now ready for her walk. First a massage, then laser acupressure on her front and hind limbs, finally kinesiology taping to support her back and reduce Inflammation and soreness in her back. Already, her back hunch has improved.

Guess who came to the office today? Why the beautiful Honey. She enjoyed some calming music, essential oils in the diffuser, a Therapeutic Massage and of course treats for being a good girl afterwards.

This is the wonderful miss Uta, a 9 year old white German Shepherd. She has degenerative myelopathy and when I saw her she wasn't able to stand, she was dragging herself around. She was a sweetheart. Her owner, Amy had to lift her up so we could apply kinesiology tape. We did a session of massage and taping. I was overjoyed to learn that miss Uta had actually stood up to eat that same night. Here is a picture of the gorgeous Uta all taped up and standing, which is a rare occurrence for her!

This is the lovely miss Sadie. I was so pleased to hear there have been a lot of improvements and she's dragging her hind limbs less often. She's had 2 sessions of massage, and hind limb taping/ proprioception taping. This video is a vast improvement from the first time I saw her dragging her legs, struggling as she walked. I'm beyond elated at her progress and I hope she continues to improve! Thank you MacKenzie for sending me this video :) :)

Honey had a good week. Two hydrotherapy sessions with Jen, a midweek therapeutic massage with Marjan Carroll, and a ton of love from the Healing Spirit staff. Thank you, Jen, Marjan, and everyone else who has volunteered to help this sweet dog. She is still a bit timid, but we are seeing more of her happy face. This is miss Sadie. She's standing much taller after her massage and Kinesiology taping. This taping is to assist with her weak hind limbs. The massage for her paraspinals in her back definitely helped in giving her a better posture. She has proprioception taping on her back legs to remind her to fix her feet when they flip under her. Thank you Sadie for being such a wonderful client:)

Yesterday was my 2nd time massaging Honey. She is a 4 year old cattle dog who broke her front leg. She was released to Redwood Pals Rescue and Healing Spirit since the previous owners couldn't afford treatment and were going to euthanize her. She was taken to a specialist to have surgery. She's been getting hydrotherapy 2x a week at Healing Spirit and weekly massages from me and she's been doing well. Thank you Redwood Pals Rescue and Healing Spirit for allowing me to help. Thank you Honey for being such a good girl!

Hind end taping for decompression to help Marley who slightly drags her right leg and Proprioception taping on the front of the legs. It seemed to help on our walk. Definite reduction in dragging.

Combining different therapies achieves successful results. 9 yr old Jack hurt his wrists playing like puppy at the park. A combination of laser, massage and Kinesiology taping made him feel much better today. He went from limping of both front legs to doing a 1 mile walk with almost no limping that same morning. I'll be limiting his exercising for several days and massaging his forelimbs until he's fully recovered.
