Frank is a NZ Huntaway - and I have to say they're a pretty amazing breed, but if I had to choose ANOTHER one, I'd say a St. Bernards. They were the dog I always wanted when I was little (don't tell Frank 🫢)

Sunday Series: Conversation Starters

Pets can really take a hit on your bank account, spoiling them with toys, equipment and treats, but what is one thing that you want to shout from the rooftops to other pet owners about?

For me: Ruffwear Beacon - Dog Safety Light.
Why? It's fully waterproof and rechargeable and the battery lasts so well. It's also super bright and easy to connect onto different collars and harnesses. Worth every penny for us.

For George (my partner): Puzzle feeders.
Why? It keeps his brain busy learning and challenging him to problem solve. We mainly use Nina Ottosson puzzles and they have different levels for them to try and solve.

For Frank it's lead manners. He's not particularly food motivated so we find it hard to get him to choose us over his environment - swapping treats for a toy changed his engagement SO MUCH 🤯 . We're still very much working it but he's come a long way 🐾

I've always loved Frank as a name for a dog and never met one, so the second we saw Frank we knew that the name just fit. Although before meeting him my partner wanted to call him Glenn! - maybe we'll save that for dog number 2 ...
