Amazing how pups change in just a few hours!

These puppies are doing very well! Rylie is a phenominal mother!

Even so, It is important to keep close tabs on babies to make sure they stay strong. Changes can be quick and subtle. For the first few days we keep our distance and allow mom to bond, only interfering if needed.❤️

It has been a long night, but I am thrilled to announce that Rylie has had beautiful and healthy puppies! She is a very attentive mother and it is so sweet to watch her with them! ❤️

Preparing for puppies🥰
A couple weeks before puppy arrival, the office is tranformed into a quiet, safe, and warm space for mommas and babies. The office is the perfect space as it is part of the main floor, yet has french doors that create a seperation from the others. We put mom into the room for feeding and sleeping before pups arrival. This helps mom to get comfortable in her area when time comes for babies. As the puppies grow, we open the french doors for them to start to integrate into the sights and sounds of the main floor of the home. By 3 1/2 weeks, puppies move into the converted dining area of the home.

With the open floor plan, puppies are exposed to all the activities of home life. Kids, vacuums, people, other dogs (outside of their enclosure, but able to greet), television, everything!

In good weather, puppies are able to be outside for playtime in a safe space with momma.

Comfort, safety, and making sure our girls feel they remain members of the family are important to us. It makes for happy mommas, well adjusted babies, and fun for all❤️
