Another great training ride for Team Charity Case riders Andy, Kristie and Jim.

Today's ride brought us to the new Bill Board that Team Charity Case will share with United Animal Friends which hopefully will spread the word about low cost spay and neuter services among other things available to the community.

Team Charity Case is excited beyond measure to have secured this bill board and to donate roughly 80% of the space to United Animal Friends.

Update on Faith (white dog flying through the air) and Balto (black dog who doesn't see it coming).

Update on Charlie the Black and White Painted 20 year young Horse at Jem's Legacy rescue ranch.

I wasn't aware that Painted Horses and other lighter colored Horses are prone to Sunburn.

Charlie had blisters on his nose and other places resulting in the need for immediate action and care.

Even though they all have cover from the Sun, they prefer to not use them 🤷‍♀️

Over the counter Sunburn ointments and creams are fine to use as well as neosporine.

The best treatment however is preventative.

The Vet and multiple authorities instructed me to buy SPF sprays and locations and apply to all the Paints.

So for the Charlie followers, he's doing great, is kept inside under cover with water, a ceiling fan and Bermuda Hay until evening when he's released out into the coral.

He's the eldest of the group and we also have him on arthritis and senior care supplements 🙏👊💥🤠

I learned something today a bit fascinating.

We got 2 more donkeys at Jem's Legacy Ranch and they, any donkey I have seen, have this "cross" marking that goes down each shoulder as well as down their spine.

I was told there is a legend about that marking.. It relates to the Bible. There are various renditions but all regarding Jesus and Mary..

Legend has it the Donkey played a pivotal role in carrying Mary. Legend suggests, the cross is God's marking on these beautiful and incredibly loyal animals.

There really is something special about them 🙏

Exciting and BUSY day at Jem's Legacy Rescue and Sanctuary.

Intake Day!! We are happy to introduce Gussie and Charlie (crooked ear)..

I really don't know why the name Charlie is so popular but we have 2 now and now 4 donkey's!

After getting the new donkeys (much larger than Hanky and Sass) we were off to getting all the feet work done with the Farrier and then it was off to working the horses, yes it was 100°.

Don't worry they got a good hose down to cool off.

The day began at HQ then all the excitement moved on down the road to Jem's Rescue for larger animals where we had a full day of fun in the Sun.

Thank you Barry, Fernando and Stacey. We don't know what we would do without you!! 🙏❤️

From the horses to the donkeys to the cats and dogs and soon bunnies, we appreciate all those dedicating their time to help us at the Ranch!!

Was at the store shopping for dog and cat and rabbit and horse supplies and upon getting to my Big Orange Team Charity Case Truck noticed a Rose and Note on the windshield.

Jem's Legacy Rescue and Sanctuary will soon have Bunny Rabbits.. I certainly did not see that coming but that's okay.... There are things I see coming and things I don't.. usually all works out just fine eitherway.

Before these little fur balls make their way up from Southern AZ I will reinforce the base with the same anti digging panels used on the dog enclosures. A few other things will be done and it should be good to go.

Very exciting. Currently at Jem's Legacy large Animal Rescue and Sanctuary (up the way from Jem's Legacy Headquarters, we have horses, donkeys, cats dogs and soon we will be home to a bunnies.

Do we see a cow in the future?? Very possible.

Ultimately, the vision is to have kids out on field trips to walk the property, have lunch, enjoy the beautiful wildlife statues and monuments and while here hopefully educate them on the value of these animals lives. It will be a great opportunity to interact with the resident animals by offering a carrot or two and even have a sleep over in the big Teepee along side the donkeys and under the stars.

Don't worry, there will be field trip opportunities for adults to..

For now, things are really coming together and we are so happy and blessed here at our home on the Range and House on the Hill!!! ❤️🙏
