We've decided to give Mr. Purple a more fitting name since he's still here with us! (No, this does not mean we intend to keep him 😆)

We're now calling him Roxo - the Portuguese word for purple. :)

...and then there was ONE.

Mr. Purple is the last little dude with us and I'm so surprised! He's a great dog, beautiful and full of energy, and he's ready for his new home!

Mr. Red went home to Georgia, Mr. Orange and Mr. Green (who we were considering keeping 🥺) are headed to Pennsylvania right now, and Mr. Yellow is staying in Missouri.

Who needs Mr. Purple?? 💜

Hello! Here's our PUPdate 😁

Our little dudes are doing great, getting big and fluffy and oh so cute! 😍

Personalities are starting to show: Mr. Red and Mr. Orange like to be the stars of the show, always the first to greet me; Mr. Purple likes to join the party while Mr. Yellow and Mr. Green are more laid back and like to watch. This is such a fun experience!

Good morning everyone!

It's been a long night in this house but we have great news... Puppies have arrived! 🐾🐾🐾

There are 6 pups so far but she may have 8 total so we'll see what the next hours bring. Everyone is doing well but we need naps. 😆🩵

Next up: our sweet expectant mama, our Ramona girl. 🩷

Ramona is from Casa Redonda (Rui) and is a descendant of the champion O'Neill. She's incredibly sweet and just wants love. She's definitely more timid than Guto, since the day we brought her home, and she's obsessed with livestock. She'd be a great working dog and we're excited to see how she acts when we introduce her and the pups to some neighbors' herds.

Most of all, we can already tell that she's going to be an amazing mama. 🐾

Hi all! While we're eagerly counting down the days until our puppies arrive, I thought I'd introduce the parents. :)

Today: meet Guto!

Guto was our first puppy and part of the reason we fell in love with the breed. He turns 3 on Wednesday!

Guto comes from Quinta Moinho das Almas (Monika) and is a descendant of Gandalf. He LOVES his people and has the perfect temperament for being our family protector. He's patient with our 5-year-old and will stare down any stranger (whether that be a person, cat, or deer) that dares approach his yard. But, once he knows there's no danger, he welcomes belly scratches from anyone willing to give them. I have no doubt that he's intimidating to strangers, but he's never been anything besides our fluffy furball. 🩵

Exciting update... Ramona is pregnant! 🐾🐾

The vet confirmed yesterday that she saw at least 8 little pups.

Exciting update from Missouri....

1) Both pups have successfully passed all health testing! ✅
2) One Miss Ramona is in heat ❤️‍🔥
3) Love is in the air! 😻

If and when we have confirmation of a successful breeding, we'll post another update. Fingers crossed!
