A good support system is worth its weight in gold.

I just got to spend a few days with Madeline, Daniel, and Connor. (The best power team that ever lived)

These three have changed my life over and over again. I’m so grateful Madeline trusted me with Rumor - nearly four years ago. And then again with Tempo.

They have supported every step of me finding my place in the dog world (while simultaneously figuring out how to be an adult). They have been there for my highest highs and my lowest lows. They are the epitome of the quote “They clapped so loud I never noticed who didn’t”.

I know I would be way less confident to chase after my goals without a good support system. Thank you for everything. Thank you for every late night conversation. For every training session. For every incredible bite of food you generously make.

I always feel a bit more healed and a bit more confident on my own two feet after spending time with them. I love you guys so much. 💛

Right before Tempo and I perform our dance every show, our story is told — About how I’ve wanted to perform at Crufts since the 8th grade. About me finally getting my own dog. About me learning and training and HOPING that maybe one day I’d get there.

Today Tempo & I did our last dance before we compete at Crufts in March.

Today was the last time our story will be announced this way.

The next time we do a show, the story will be different.

The story will include Tempo and I getting to represent the USA at Crufts - the first Americans in over a decade.

Together, this year we did 204 shows with the ! Tempo and I did our first TV show together. And, we went from performing our first full routine - to getting to perform at Crufts next March. What a year!!

WE’RE GOING TO CRUFTS!!!!

Wow wow wow wow!! I am so grateful and honored to say that we will be representing Team USA at Crufts 2025! It has been a dream of mine to compete at Crufts for so many years. Time to give it everything we’ve got in March 💪

Thank you so much to everyone who has cheered us on and helped us get to this point. 🥹 I’m so grateful!

Tempo, you are the greatest dog in the entire world. Getting the chance to compete at Crufts at only TWO years old. I’m so proud of you.

“Don’t fear failure. Fear not having the chance. You have the chance!” - Sally, Cars 3

Anyone else procrastinate starting things just because they are scared it won’t be perfect? 🙋‍♀️ Story of my life.

Several days ago I watched Cars 3. (Actually I watched Cars, then Cars 2, then Cars 3 in the matter of 24 hours 😆) That quote struck me, and I immediately paused the movie to write that quote down.

Because not having the chance does seem scarier than failing. I’d rather get the opportunity to try and see what happens versus not *get* to try at all.

Nearly 200 shows later, summer tour has finished.

I am so grateful for all of it. I have so much posting to do - to catch up on everything we got to do this year.

I cannot believe it is over. We got to explore all over the country together. Every performance together is a privilege. I have the best dogs in the entire world and I’m so grateful I get to share them with so many people.

I am also so grateful for all the wonderful people I’ve gotten to meet because of my dogs. It is insane the number of people I wouldn’t know if I never had my dogs. I hope our paths cross again and again and again. But in the meantime, thank goodness for social media!

Say hello to Lucid! 👋

Lucy is a 2 year old Whippet. She is our special guest for the rest of tour this summer/fall, and may end up staying longer 👀

I’ve had Lucid for a little over a week now, and she’s already performed in multiple shows. She’s been learning High Jumping, demoing trick how to’s, and starting to Dock Dive!

She has been an absolute blast to work with. She loves the crowd, and loves to work. Soon Lucid will also be trying Frisbee, Agility, and even Dog Dancing with me 😁

100 shows?! 🥹

I am just so grateful. We did our first show back in 2022. Rumor was barely clearly 28”, and now his PB is 72”!!!

Tempo is several months shy of 2 years old, yet he’s been doing a 3 minute dance routine for months.

I just love them so much, and am so excited to see where they both take me!

Here’s to 100 more! 🎉

OH Better When I’m Dancing “Tempo”

Tempo is a 1.5 year old Border Collie from , born on 9/30/22.

Tempo’s main sport is freestyle dance, but he also “dabbles” in agility and casual disc. We are just starting Canicross together!

Tempo is a workaholic, and probably would train 24/7 if we could. The word “tired” is truly not in his vocabulary!

I almost didn’t get Tempo… and I am grateful everyday to Madeline for letting him come home with me. He truly is making my dreams a reality. Tempo has performed his dance in several states, with the biggest crowd being around 1400 people.

This will be periodically updated to reflect the present.

One day, my dogs will die.

One day, my dogs will breathe their last breath.

One day… I will wake up without them.

There will be no more morning potty walks with them. No more excited tail wags. No more play time. No more training sessions and no more “showing off”.

Every day I plead that my dogs will defy all odds and simply live forever. But alas, one day, they will die.

It seems as though ever since I’ve stepped into the dog industry, I’ve been judged for every foot forward.

Feed your dogs well! Oh, but not with that. That’s bad for them.

Work your dogs! Oh, but not that hard. That’s bad for them.

Train your dogs! Oh, but not with that. That’s bad for them.

Let your dogs sleep out! Oh, but not for that long. That’s bad for them.

This is my first time through life - the same for them, and the same for you.

Be more gentle. Be more patient. We are all learning. We are all trying our best. We are all allowed our own opinions. But being louder with yours doesn’t make them any more correct.

This year, I want to find more ways to have fun with my dogs. I want to try new things with them. I want to go to new places with them. I want to be a better me with them, and for them.

I just want to have fun with my dogs.

Because, one day…

they will die.

PS. They boys are alive and well 🫶 They will live long, long happy lives. The dog industry can feel awfully loud sometimes… but you’re doing a great job.

We had such a fun weekend! 😍 Getting to perform at the Carson Center with the was a blast. Rumor and Tempo have both come a long way, and I’m so proud of them. The crowds were also AMAZING!

And of course, congrats to Taylor’s Boyfriend for winning the Super Bowl!! 🎉
