Miracle was so tiny. He was born breech birth and I had to help his mother deliver him, and revive the little fellow. He's 5 days old here. He's been an inside cat all his life... and spoiled.

Friday, Sept. 6th, 2024 A VERY dreary, and rainy last few days... Tigger and Ebony are curled up sleeping... "Yawn.... ahhh.... a good idea??"

Meet Bandon, (AKA "Shoe Shoe") the newest addition... He's an American Pit Bull Terrier... He was a rescue from a bad situation. When we got the little fellow, he was poor, and very pot bellied... his little stomach was FULL of sand from being tied, and forced to "dig" a hole to reach water seepage to drink. He was also very malnourished, and his paw pads were "brush burned" from digging! He's 4 months old now ~~ and healthy, happy, and full of life!! Isn't he gorgeous??

This is Miracle, one of my babies. He's six years old and I had to help birth him and revive him. (He was born breech and his mom couldn't have him without help!). He carries a wave gene... (he was a spontaneous mutation) and has kinky wavy fur. The very rare ~ American Wirehair Cat Breed was a spontaneous mutation in domestic short hair cats back in 1966 in New York. The first was a red and white male kitten with wiry fur.

Just some thoughts: I have never "Bred" kittens since we got these wonderful cats from my friend 2 1/2 years ago. Five "Mamma" cats came to us pregnant and we rehomed 25 kittens...sigh, plus 4 grown cats after spay/neuter. Then one had kittens when we picked them up. My friend passed away this past February... sadly. I have been devastated by her loss. I've been thinking a great deal about Fairy Tale Cattery's future. One day (perhaps toward the end of this year or the beginning of next year even...) I'd like to breed a couple litters of American Curl Kittens. I'm planning these litters carefully and THIS will be our FIRST planned litters since getting American Curls. (One of our cats was accidentally bred when my husband let her in with a male. (That was a year and a half ago.) I'm still working on the little apartment for them, although all our girls are living in it now.
