As we approach Spring, we want to remind everyone that this is the busiest time of the year for Animal Shelters. Warm weather and sunshine bring in a lot of stray and unwanted animals.

To put this into perspective, we are SIX days into the new month and this is our current intake stats:

02/01/24 - 02/06/24

• 10 Stray Cats
• 9 Stray Dogs
• 7 Owner Surrender Cats
• 18 Owner Surrender Dogs

This is a total of 44 animals in less than a week. Our staff is working hard to handle every call in a timely manner and take animals in as quickly as possible. Please be mindful when your request for service or animal surrender is not handled as quickly as you would hope. Space is going to be limited the further into this season we get and we are working as diligently as possible to ensure every animal has the safest and happiest disposition after entering our care.

Our next monthly low-cost vaccine and microchip clinic will be at FiftyForward Donelson Station (108 Donelson Pike)! 💉 The first 100 attendees will be able to receive $15 vaccines and $10 microchips for their pets, thanks to your local donations and a generous grant from the Banfield Foundation! 🐶🐱⁠
