Electric vans are here!⚡💚

More than half of residential routes are now electric, thanks to a recently awarded grant. We were able to acquire two electric vans which we can use for residential routes and events.

Check out Goshen Market in Edwardsville on Saturdays through October!

Hey there, want to make a positive impact on the environment by composting your food scraps but not sure where to start? You can compost anything from the food spectrum - plant based, meats, dairy, etc. Just remember to avoid liquids, staples, objects with plastic coating, shiny paper, Q-tips, fruit stickers and pet waste. Also keep in mind that products labeled "compostable" require a commercial processing facility. Let's make a difference with New Earth Farm! 🌱♻️

TONIGHT!

This is a great opportunity to share your input with regard to the issue of food waste in St. Louis! Join virtually or in person.

On June 20 at 6pm, representatives from earthday365 and the Missouri Botanical Garden's EarthWays Center will be leading a community conversation to get YOUR ideas for a Food Waste Reduction Strategy. The strategy could help prevent food from going to waste, rescue surplus food, and recycle food scraps. You can attend in person or on Zoom. Day 3! When food scraps, yard waste and other organic materials go to a landfill, their decomposition produces methane, a potent greenhouse gas. The production of methane is due to anaerobic decomposition which occurs in the absence of oxygen. A compost pile, on the other hand, decomposes aerobically with oxygen, and primarily produces carbon dioxide. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions can help reduce impacts from climate change.
