Really long day at Doune & Dunblane albeit educational ✨️

The day started with a huge que to get in as everyone was getting stuck going into the show field 🙃 but thankfully our wee Overlander got the job done no bother. We were stressing we were going to miss our class only to find the ring started half an hour later than we thought 🤦🏼‍♀️ and made it to the ring with plenty of time (we learnt from last week).

Dochie had his happy face on for 3rd in good company in the inhand. After an outfit change he was 2nd in the ridden Highland after going sweetly for the judge just a little slow. Very pleased as she had much smaller legs than me (7 holes shorter!) and Dochie hasn't has anyone so small on him in quite a while 😊 We didn't realise there was a ride judge so I was having kittens when she jumped on the others, however she was a lovely quiet rider which was a welcome change to many we've seen recently.

We had a 4 hour break between classes so we went for a wander and I relived my childhood with nail in a bail and even won a couple prizes 😁, only then to missread the guy thinking he was giving me a high five (he wasn't), absolutely mortified 😭. Back to the lorry for a power nap while mum thoroughly enjoyed people watching, waking up to her narrating someone trying to load their horse, so so funny 😂.

After a long wait Dochie was super in the juniors to be pulled top but after me forgetting how to ride we were rightly dropped to 2nd, just missing out on his final Blair ticket 🎟 Super happy with him as he was forwards the whole time and was willing to give a gallop 💨 It's the little wins ☺️

We had a lovely day chatting to loads of new people, even if the weather couldn't decide what it was doing and topping the day off came home with £25 prize money 💰

Thank you mum for all your help today, none of it would be possible without you ❤️

Team Little Ochiltree had a busy last week/weekend with a few livery’s going out and about competing and bringing home some fabulous results🏅

Zoe and Hope headed to Champfleurie for the Almond Riding Club showing show. They came 2nd in the condition and turnout, 2nd in the novice ridden horse and 6th in the open ridden cob!! Amazing results🥈

Katie and Malteser were at Howe for Cat 1 showjumping. They managed to bag a 6th in the 70cm and no placings in the 85cm but the improvement is amazing! Huge well done🎉

Karen and Tam also went to the Almond Riding Club showing show at Champfleurie and competed in the Inhand M&M and grabbed a 6th place in a large class. Amazing work🥳

Niamh and Dochie were at Central and West Fife where they won in the inhand M&M also taking champion and picking up another ticket for blair. Sadly by the time they went into the juniors, the heat was a lot and it got to poor Dochie resulting in them losing their mojo and thus getting dropped down the lineup. Still fabulous results never the less.🏆
Who would have thought we would eventually be complaining about the heat!

Rebecca and Diva were also at Central and West Fife and they won the open show pony and became reserve champion🤩 Fabulous!!!

Fabulous start to summer 2023 and we can’t wait to see everyone getting out and about now that the season is well under way!😎

A long but successful bank holiday monday spent showing 👌

Rebecca started the day off with Misty having their pre run for next weekend as she hadn't ridden him in almost a year. As time went on the better she got him going by the championship she had him going beautifully! Will be super happy if she rides him like that next weekend 😍

By the time I was in the ring with him he was well and truly ready to go home but still gave me a lovely ride. It's nice to get back in the ring on him when I can 🥰

Becca's new pony Mia had her first outing and took it all in well despite having a complete meltdown just before Becca got on, which continued for some time. Becca handled it like a pro and kept riding her through it and eventually Mia settled and got in the ring. She took it all in and went really well for Becca to be just outside the placings but so happy she got in the ring and did everything she was asked 😊 Hopefully the more she gets out the better she will get 🤞🏼

Thank you Jennifer for plaiting and driving, we appreciate you taking us even though you weren't feeling too great and thank you to the girls at home who did the yard allowing us to go ❤

It was really lovely to see everyone again and so many people we know doing so well and getting their RI tickets! 🤩

What a day for team little ochiltree at Blue Ridge Equestrian Centre🐴
Emma and Cuba going clear in the 1m and taking 2nd in the partnerships first time out in a year! What a comeback and a fabulous start to 2023. Cannot wait to watch them both get back out consistently and doing what they do best!🥇
Abby doing a fab job with Mabel! Sadly not their day but the improvement in this combo is unbelievable. All down to dedication and patience💪🏻

Unbelievably proud that one of our VERY talented liviries Rachael Aiton Equestrian found out that her and the brilliant boy Nelson (Splash of Fun) are on the way to Badminton Horse Trials next year after qualifying earlier at Glamis Castle Country Fair And Horse Trials🤩

Very well done to you Rachael and Nelson🏆 We will all be cheering you on.
But for now, I hope Nelson enjoys his winter holiday as it is very clearly deserved!❤️🥶
