Mabel, Dottie, Jack and riders have enjoyed their first day. Horses are now all tucked up in lovely big shaving beds with their haynets after a long day, preparing for another long but fun day tomorrow!!

Skinnies (wether they are poles or jumps) require a lot of accuracy and confidence and Blue was definitely putting both to the test but Ava rode beautifully!
❗️Polework is very good for improving suppleness, balance and rhythm. It also encourages your horse to engage his core muscles. It is also extremely stimulating for the brain as horses can get bored very easily so this keeps them on their toes and enjoying their work :))

Very sad but special goodbye we said today. almost a year ago Tanja made the brave decision to bring her horse to scotland all the way from switzerland to do some teaching over here as part of her degree. Malibu and Tanja settled right in from the get go and made a fab part of the ochiltree family❤️ Both Malibu and Tanja made some very good friends and memories over here. Tanja went back to switzerland a few weeks ago to finish her degree but Malibu had to stay for a while longer. He got 2X the hugs as normal so didn’t really mind he wasn’t seeing his mummy everyday! Today he will begin his journey to Switzerland and soon be reunited with Tanja. You where both a pleasure to have on the yard and we will all miss you dearly. Hope to see you both return❤️
