Today was an incredibly emotional day as Mickey (Kallenia Michael III HSH) was given the ultimate honour - representing the riderless horse in our ANZAC parade.

He handled the parade so well, walking between the band and vehicles, and wearing all strange and heavy gear. I needed to keep doing circles as he walked faster than the band. 🖤

To have one of our own horses carrying that legacy step into such a symbolic role today felt deeply special. History walking beside us. A quiet, powerful reminder of the horses who served beside our soldiers - and of the sacrifices made by both horse and rider.

Lest we forget. 🌺

Hooves that echo where silence falls,
A saddle empty through the calls.
No rider there, yet all can see
The one who rode in memory.

A faithful horse, a solemn sign,
Of sacrifice through place and time.
The rider gone, but not the flame,
We walk in honour of their name.

We had very special news recently — a positive pregnancy scan for Kali (Kallenia Amy HSH).

A massive thank you to Troy for letting me use Rex again… even while Maddi was still holding his last baby completely hostage. Honestly, the man deserves a medal.

Kali is such a special mare to us. She was chosen for me by Frank, even though I said “no black mares!” A smooch to Jolene meant I then had two to argue with, and I wasn’t going to win against either. You think I’m tough, stand in front of my first born. Frank then surprised me by naming this fiesty black filly Kallenia Amy HSH.

Some time ago Frank had his heart set on breeding a foal from his beloved mare buckskin mare Quickstep.

Here’s hoping this little one is a cracker buckskin filly, zooming around with attitude, beauty and heart — and that Frank gets the best seat in the house to watch her from above. 💛

Feeling grateful, excited, and a little emotional today as we brought her home. Bring on 2026.
