Sorry if our page seems quiet lately. I lost my mom a few days ago very suddenly and unexpectedly. I know this isn’t animal related( except for my dog brother she also leaves behind), but my daughter started a fundraiser for my family she was supporting, my step dad with MS, her disabled sister( since 16 years old) , and my Nana who is elderly and also needs care. It was my daughter who is hosting this fund raiser she it all is going directly to my step dad to help them over the next few months as my mom was their main source of income. I am completely lost without her and don’t know what else to do besides try and help my family. My dog brother is Bowie and I can also start an Amazon wish list for him if anyone would prefer ❤️

Speaking of our sweet little angel foster! This is Penny! We took her in last spring so she wouldn’t have to go back to Trenton Animal Shelter after she had a 7lb pyo removed! We had a home lined up with good friends, however their dogs did not accept this exuberant girl into their pack 😞 so she’s been with me ever since! And my one dog isn’t the biggest fan either because he’s blind and can’t understand her bulldog noises when she’s happy 🥺

Penny needs a home with kids over the age of 5-8 years old, just because she still acts like a puppy despite being 4-5 years old, and NO CATS! While she ignores cats that ignore her, if a cat runs, swats at her or does anything she seems chase worthy, that’s what she does. We don’t want to ever risk a cat’s life!

She is fully vetted and will have everything updated before she is adopted.
I take her for cytopoint shots when needed for seasonal allergies. She is crate trained, loves food, toys, car rides, and her daily walk.

Her adoption fee is $0, I just want the BEST home for her however we expect an approved application,
home visit, and contract that states she will ONLY come back to us if it doesn’t work out.

The good thing about rescuing animals in one form or another for most of my life is that, I do not care what other humans think about me anymore. Your nonsense is “old hat” to me at this point!

After a group of weirdos attacks my rescue, again, because their ring leaders are keyboard warriors with unchecked mental illnesses, people who use animals to fill voids in their lives, or people who just have no clue how rescue works and are desperate to follow a crowd… or whatever.. it’s a tale as old as time! I find myself once again contemplating this life I’ve chosen.

After 26 + years, I have seen it all, I have experienced it all, and I’ve even come VERY close to ending my whole entire life over the pain and fatigue that comes with this life. Do these types of people care what they do to other people? Nope! So why should I care about them? In reality, this issue they have, it’s not really about me and what I’m doing, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Victim of someone else’s inner turmoil 😭

As a person who cares deeply about all living things, I’ll never understand why people choose to tear each other down so brutally. Who does this help? Certainly not the animals!

And I’ve heard it all!
I’m doing it wrong! Am I? I know I have many times. That’s how you learn. Well at least I’m doing it! Who makes the rules anyway? The keyboard warriors? Hell no!

By the way, as a side note, you do NOT have to be a 501(c)(3) to run a rescue. And it really means nothing but what kind of tax filing you do. We’ve heard of PLENTY of horrible organizations in this life time! Most were 501(c)(3) too. I am no longer, because I decided when the non profit group I was with voted against helping cats and dogs, and only small animals, that I wanted to branch off and do it on my own! This rescue itself is brand new ya dummies! 🤪

“You are in it for the money” that’s the funniest one of all. You are talking to a person who owns no coats because I gave them all away. A person who was gifted $100 on Christmas to “do something for myself” so I gave it to someone else who couldn’t afford their sick dog’s euthanasia. A person who only charges adoption fees about 20% of the time and it’s mainly only when I put myself into the negatives paying their vet bills 🙄 And honestly I would probably still rather take donations of food and supplies! A person who also fostered human children for decades, for their families, NOT for the state!

After all is said and done my family once again telling me to get away from these crazy people, worried about my mental health from being harassed, me once again making a long winded post for the millionth time hoping someone sees my soul for what it is and not some BS narrative that some wacko built;

I’ve proven only one thing in all of this, yes I suck at life, and probably rescue, but I do NOT suck at saving lives, or taking care of the animals in my care. So take your made up bureaucratic bs elsewhere please!!
To everyone else, who also just simply makes life beautiful for these babies- thank you for being! And you are enough! Drink water and eat once in a while though please! ❤️

Congratulations to the last adoption of 2024 Dahlia our beautiful momma kitty from the streets, and the first adoption of 2025, Rudy who was also our last rescue of 2024 when he was abandoned in a park.
These two found the most amazing of families ❤️❤️

This beautiful rabbit was likely dumped at a local park! He was so cold he was literally sticking to a metal grate. He didn’t even try to hop away from his rescuers. He’s a young boy, estimated under a year old. He’s very friendly! Will need a vet visit and neuter. We decided his name with be Rudy( for Rudolph of course!).
Would anyone want to be his Christmas Angel and donate towards his care? 🙏🐇

Steph's Community Pet Rescue formerly - Little Furries Rescue was recently asked to take on rabbits and guinea pigs from a shelter that is experiencing a severe mold issue where they usually house their small animals 😭 We are taking 7 rabbits and 4 guinea pigs 🥺
We have adopted out all of our rabbits except four of our current rabbits( Chronic health issues)
by some miracle ( and awesome word of mouth!) and gained two foster homes so we have the space! However we do not have the current funds to take on more. I solely fund all the animals I help! I still have $500 vet bills due by the end of the month coming out of my own pay 😭 PLUS - We have stray cats and kittens showing up regularly too!

If anyone can help us with donations I would truly truly appreciate the help so I can continue to help them! I hardly ask because my goal is always to only help who I can personally provide for ❤️ But sometimes I need a little help from my friends!

It was beautiful seeing Jackie and his wonderful family. His momma made me cry 😭. They read what I wrote for him because I’m a chicken. Unfortunately, I had an animal emergency and had to leave early, but if it’s one thing Jackie Castleberry would understand, it’s that! I was looking forward to doing another fundraiser to help him get a new chair like I did last time, but today they were making donations towards my rescue instead. ❤️
Jackie you will be missed, and I’ll definitely keep rescuing animals in your honor!!

A long term foster or permanent adopter is needed ASAP for Momo! Unfortunately, the older more dominant dog in his home has become very reactive towards him, and he is very fearful of her now.
Momo is only one and a half years old, shy but very gentle, and would love nothing more than a human to sit with and a fenced in yard to run in. If interested in helping Momo please reach out asap! Steph's Community Pet Rescue
