So glad to be back at work today to see my doggos🥰 everyone of them was just as glad to see me as I was to see them!

For the past 3 weeks, I’ve been looking after someone’s Axolotl (Mr Sushi) and rabbit (Dotty). I’ve grown quite attached to these animals and it’s my first time looking after an axolotl! Dotty and Mr Sushi are very cute🥰
Also for the last 5 days, I’ve also looked after their pug Nando🐶
Going to miss seeing these guys every day✨

⚠️🔆HEAT STROKE - DOGS🔆⚠️

Seeing so many dogs being walked on pavements in the middle of the day in horrendous heat just now - please note that Heat Stroke kills dogs in as little as 15 mins. It only takes your dogs body temp to rise more than 2 degrees and heat stroke starts to kick in...

If your dogs temp gets to 4.5 degrees higher than it should their organs start to fail.

50% chance of survival if your dog is diagnosed with Heat stroke.

Temperatures outside are over 20 degrees... (26 right now 🥵)
please only walk your dogs early morning or at night. The pavement alone can burn their pads. And the risk of heatstroke is extremely high.

No dogs have died because they haven’t had a walk throughout the day, but they can die within 15 mins if you put them at risk of heat stroke.

Keep them cool and keep them safe 🔆🐶

🥵 HEAT WARNING ⚠️

It’s super hot today and set to be for the rest of the week!! We have to be extra careful with all breeds of dog, but especially our flat faced friends!

A few reminders for your dogs safety:

⚠️ Do not walk your dog
⚠️ Do not leave your dog in a car
⚠️ Do not transport your dog if they get very stressed in the car
⚠️ Do not leave your dog for long periods out in the sun

✅ Provide your dog with a cool and shaded area
✅ Offer water regularly
✅ Use a cool coat or cool mat
✅ Set up a fan
✅ Soak their coat or dip in paddling pool
✅ Offer frozen treats such as frozen yoghurt
✅ Be aware of heat stroke signs
✅ Contact your vet if you are worried

Today was the last day to get some miles in. We’ve completed with a wonderful 67.23 miles with the help of my beautiful gang🐶We’ve also raised an amazing £145 for cancer research🥰

Thanks to this beautiful, crazy lot and some other amazing clients I walk, today, we finally completed our 💜

We’ve still got one more day to squeeze in a couple more miles. I’m so proud of my little pooches for helping me achieve this.🥰 ✨

Please remember this when taking your dogs out in the hot weather. If it feels warm to us, it definitely feels warm to them🐶

Even if you don’t need your dogs walking, you can still book in for an hour so they have some company✨

We are half way through our and so far our we’ve completed 33.7miles. Which means we are just above target thanks to these 4 beauty’s!🐶

At the end of our first week for cancer research, we have done a total of 11.61 miles! Both of these poochs have done extremely well even though we’ve had to cut some walks short because of the weather ☀️🐶

There’s still time to book your pooch in for June to help us walk these miles. You’ll get a great saving in June and you’re dog will be able to enjoy this lovely weather and be part of a good cause✨
