I came into the shelter as a stray on 8/4/2024.

Sorry, this pet is for new hope partners only! #206770: Milk is on the at-risk list due to behavior. She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. She has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. Due to her stress levels, it is in her best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. She would do best in a home with adopters who are willing to give her plenty of time and space to adjust, and who have experience with helping a fearful cat adjust to strangers. What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. MEDICAL PRIORITY! Client arrived to MACC with an injured stray cat Goldfish. Client was called by one of his friends to come and retrieve the cat as the cat looked injured. Client stated the cat had an issue with its eye, there was discharge coming out of its eyes consistently, Client noted the discharge was yellow and green, with some bits of blood as well coming out of it. He also mentioned that the cat was experiencing black colored f***s. He was able to approach the cat and place it in a carrier.

Client said the cat has fluid leaking from the nose and mouth. Client described the nose to have green fluid and the mouth appeared to be clear and have a strong odor. Nice old man! He has a large pedunculated mass near his a**s. This, unfortunately, may be a cancerous growth. He needs care and treatment that we cannot provide. I lived with children in my previous home. I have lived with cats. I have lived with dogs. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. RUFUS NEEDS A PLACEMENT BY THURSDAY AUGUST 29, 2024 BY 12PM: Hello, my name is Rufus. ( ): My animal id is . I am a male brown tabby 🐈‍⬛ at the Queens Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 5 years old.

I came into the shelter as a stray on 8/17/2024. #207908 : Rufus is on the at-risk list due to medical reasons. He presented to ACC underweight and with a wound on his tail and has had a high fever since intake. He also has a grade II heart murmur, dental disease, and a small amount of exposed re**al tissue, possibly due to prolapse vs a small mass. X-rays showed possible asthma vs infection in the lungs as well as decreased serosal detail in the abdomen, which may be due to his decreased weight or fluid within the abdomen. He will require a full abdominal ultrasound, thoracic radiographs, and an internal medicine consult with placement. What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I’m ready for pets.
