Edith’s getting frisky!!!
She’s practically jogging!!!
Edith meets the rest of the household pack!
I was out of town when Edith appeared at Dallas Animal Shelter, 2 weeks ago. Initially, Good Shepherd Rescue was going to be able to get her from DAS when her stray hold period expired, which would have timed perfectly with my return. Then DAS suddenly decided to release her for medical reasons. We got her medical records and they were so bad, it appeared her death was imminent. I wasn’t going to be back for another 4 days, so we sadly released her tag, thinking EU might be a blessing.
However, Craig & Kristen stepped up and said they would go get her immediately! So they deserve credit for saving Edith!
Once I returned home, I was able to pick Edith up from C&K. That day, I honestly thought EU would be a blessing for her, as she was so very frail. We decided to give her a few days of “wonderful” before sending her to the rainbow bridge.
Unbelievably, Edith responded, remarkably, and rebounded. I’ve never been so amazed by anything!!! I swear she still continues to improve every day!
This is a video of Edith’s arrival at Craig & Kristen’s, on 10/15. Note how her back legs are crossed and barely functional. Craig is basically supporting her with his towel!
Edith doesn’t care much for the cold, rainy weather, so she got a stylish jacket to wear while out on her morning stroll!
Edith’s thoroughly content today, enjoying the sunshine and even rolling in the grass!
