🥇 🥈 🥉 We actually got first in the long retrieve (mix up of times on leaderboard) replacement certificate on the way, so came away with a 1st long retrieve and 2nd scurry for Mr Bug 💙 and a 3rd place long retrieve for Mr Bean in his first ever competition 🩵 thoresby spring festival 30/03/24

26/08/23 Beautiful day out in the dales competing in broadoaks charity competition. We came away with a first in hay bales, a first in the multi pick up and a certificate of merit in the open. Only 1 mark seperated us from grabbing a 3rd in the novice (number 36) and 4 marks off 3rd in the open (number 8 ) I couldn’t have asked any more from bug , he worked his little socks off for me today, he did exactly what I asked of him and didn’t put a foot wrong, and I…. Well I remained composed and collected and it showed in how bug worked ♥️ 100% pure bred good boy 🐶💙

09/07/23 our first big competition and amazingly we got through to run offs against the FTCH England international Steve Blackman. What an achievement and such a good experience to train from. We know what we need to work on 🐶 🐾 good boy Bug.

So…. Our first big competition and we made it into the run off for top spaniel over the weekend. Unfortunately bug was a little too keen and moved after his stop to shot so we didn’t make it (J-regs were introduced) but he performed like a superstar all weekend 🐶♥️ Some good training points to take away from this. Onwards and upwards from here.

DNA is highly diverse at 40% which falls outside the standard remit (26%-37%) meaning higher heterozygosity leading to lower risk of genetic disorders.

Bug (fudge) is a pet and my personal working gun dog. He passed his kennel club working test on 01/03/23 and is activity registered with the kennel club. I use him for beating and picking up and we undergo regular training and he has competed in gundog competitions and scurry’s where he has collected multiple Rosettes. He is a loyal and kind hearted dog but will absolutely work his socks off when asked to. He hits cover hard and aims to please, a very honest dog to work with the ability to switch on and off. Videos can be provided of him working and picking up both in training, competitions and on a shoot day.

I use him for beating and picking up, we undergo regular training and he has competed in gun dog competitions and scurry’s where he has collected multiple Rosettes. He is a loyal and kind hearted dog but will work his socks off when asked to. He hits cover hard and aims to please, a very honest dog to work with the ability to switch on and off. He has been an absolute joy to train and learns quickly. Videos can be provided of him working and picking up both in training, competitions and on a shoot day. He has had no behavioural issues and is wonderfully gentle with children.

Bug is booked for a gonioscopy and BVA eye test on June 28th.

Bug is not proven yet and will be looking for a health tested lady friend soon (cocker spaniel) at a reduced fee of £50 paid on first tie. Two matings are included in price.
